I've come accross a strange problem with sendkeys. basically what i have is an app that monitors the clipboard by watching for the WM_DRAWCLIPBOARD and then retreives it when it comes up. My problem only comes up when i've selected part of a webpage in Internet Explorer and then use sendkeys.send or sendkeys.sendwait in my program to force a copy to the clipboard... when I do this, the WM_DRAWCLIPBOARD message never shows up in my program. The really funny part of it is that if i do the exact same thing and physically press the keys, i get the message and everything is great. I'm thinking something with sendkeys, has to be blocking the message somehow..
right now my program is basically just a timer that fires a sendkeys.send("^C") every second. so when i switch to another app and select text, it can copy it when the timer fires.
Out of desperation i even created a thread and fired off the send keys in there but to no avail. is there a way to start a new thread that is completely seperate from the program itself?

Nevermind.. I got it working.
I simply stopped using SendKeys to send the input.
Instead, i'm using keybd_event() now it get's the clipboard notification properly. very strange issue still.

WPF is the obvious way to do this. If you can't use WPF, then you need to owner draw everything, there is no support for rotating controls in WinForms

I once came across an article posted in Code Project that explained how to programatically insert tables into RTF. I wasn't smart enought to bookmark this and now can't find it.

Hi All,
a very simple question , what will be the fastest way to know that whether a directory is empty or not.ofcourse i can use directory or directoryinfo class and can use getfilesystementries or getfilesysteminfos function and thus check whether it is having any children or not.but i am not intrested in the all the children.what i want to know whether it is having any child or not?any suggestions are most welcome.is there any api, which can be used?Thanks in advance.

Now,I'm design a component use for a system which service in hotel,the component is use to due to flie upload and download(webClient-webServers(c/s)).My problem is that the component contain more than two forms,so,How Can I do with the Encapsulation with the forms. I don't think it is possible. CR is a reporting tool not really built as a calculation tool.
You may be able to look at the crystal report's document object's defination collection, but I doubt that the values are being saved in the object.

Hi, i'm having this problem where i'm using an xpathnavigator to search a xpathdocument for the values contained inside certain '<' '/>' things. I'm not sure if this is proper behavior or a bug. This code should show you what i mean (.net 2.0) : http://paste.insanityflows.net/viewpaste.php?id=3

Hi,
How do you force a new line in a multi-message textbox? I've tried several things with out much luck.
IE: mltbMessage.Text = "This is line 1"+0x0d+"Line 2"; doesn't work
mltbMessage.Text = 'This is line 1\n and this is line 2\n";
This is running on the web if that makes any difference...

You would use System.Environment.Newline to separate two lines. That contains "\r\n", which is the Windows Newline-pair.
Unlike C++, the "\n" sequence is really the linefeed-character in C++. "\r" is the carriage-return-character.

It's called a property grid. I don't know if it's in the Toolbox by default, but you create objectos of type PropertyGrid. However, it is not as straightforward to use. Look around this site and you'll find great articles on how to use it:

Hello everybody!!!
I have VS2005 installed and I am now trying to install Web Application Project Template for C#. I downloaded WebApplicationProjectSetup.exe from http://msdn.microsoft.com/asp.net/reference/infrastructure/wap/default.aspx but whenever I start the installation (at the very end of the process) I get this error message:
InstallUtilLib.dll:ClrCreateManagedInstance (hr=0x80004005); Unspecified error.
PLEEEEASE HELP me with this one because I'm stuck with it for quite a while now....

Hi,
I'd like to make a cursor jump to the next text field when a user reach to the max length of the other in C# .Net.
Ex: when you enter the key code for software installation, the cursor keeps go to the next text field without using the tab button.
I'm a beginner for VS. Please help thanks.

Step 1. On the form, set the KeyPreview property to true.
Step 2. Make sure that the TabIndex is correct for each TextBox that will have this feature.
Step 3. Add a KeyUp event for each of the TextBox controls. You can make one function, and assign the same function to each of the TextBox controls. Note that in my example, I have have named my function SSNTextBox_KeyUp. In my program, I have three Textbox controls, used for entering a Social Security number.
Step 4. Write the KeyUp event function as follows:
private void SSNTextBox_KeyUp(object sender, System.Windows.Forms.KeyEventArgs e)<br />
