Hi all.
I'm developing an application that i need to run on top of a full screen game like CS.
Does anyone know how to do this and could you provide some code examples for it.
I've seen my antivirus update message appearing on top when I'm inside the game, so it can be done somehow.
I have also problems sending global hotkeys as the game seems to block the hotkeys, but this I have also seen working with other applications.
Glad if anyone can help me about this and provide some C# code examples.
Thanks!

Have you tried setting the TopMost property of the form to true?
|
|
|
|
|
Yes, that don't help at all when using a full screen game.
I think the solution is not so easy and that i somehow need to program against the directx or something.
But i have no idea how to do this and can't find any articles about it.
But thanks for comment

You realise its quicker (and more fun) to learn to play the game well than to write a cheat?
Current blacklist
svmilky - Extremely rude | FeRtoll - Rude personal emails | ironstrike1 - Rude & Obnoxious behaviour

|
|
|
|
Well who has said that I need this for a cheat??...
I'm writing an in game application bar, where you can have a web browser that you can start from in game.
No integration against the game itself, only to graphic's, to get the application to run ontop of game.
The game is not CS, that was just an example.
So if you don't have any helpfull comments, don't bother to write.

How can i add checkbox control in a ListView Control in C#?
|
|
|
|
|
Use CheckedListBox. It allow to check multiple checkboxes.
To check each box programatically do like this:
for (int i = 0; i < checkedListBox1.Items.Count; i++)
{
checkedListBox1.SetItemCheckState(i, CheckState.Checked);
}
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Or ListView
Set "CheckBoxes" property to true to display checkboxes.
To count number of checked boxes :
myListView.CheckedIndices.Count;
To get text from checked row on index i, first column :
myListView.CheckedItems[i].SubItems[0].Text;
To check row on index i
myListView.Items[i].Checked = true;

Hi,
How can i do comparison between 2 xml files weather they are ideal or different?
Thanks,
Hitesh

u can fill the dataset by dataset's readxml meathod
and then can compare the data of these dataset's

I think you can use 2 StreamReader class for opening the files and read and compare one line of each file with the ReadLine method.
In this way they are used less resources if the files are hudge.

Okay...I check it out with this one.
Thanks,

In addition to what lmoelleb posted, I think it would be more reliable to use two XmlTextReader , call their Read methods to move from node to node and after each call compare their Value (and NodeType ) properties.

Notice that
<test><hello>world</hello></test>
is identical to
<test>
<hello>world</hello>
</test>
but it is NOT identical to
<test><hello>
world
</hello></test>

|
|
|
|
in this case the only solution i can think is load in dataset , as the first answer ... do you have other ideas?
|
|

One can use XmlTextReaders instead of the StreamReaders. Also possible but more memory consuming: Load both files into a XmlDocument and compare the strings returned by the InnerXml property.

<test>
<hello>world

Hello all,
I'd like to open a console window that is usable with System.Console.ReadLine/WriteLine from a WinForm.
I'm trying to do it by clicking a button, but I'm having difficulty figuring it out.
How do I create / initialize the window?
Also, are there any issues with passing info back and forth between the console window and the form?
Currently, I can get a string to output to the Output window when I click the button, but I want a console. I can also use the process control to call a cmd.exe window, but can't get the IO there...
Thanks in advance.

You might be able to create a cmd.exe process and then use the RedirectStandardInput and RedirectStandardOutput to the streams of the Console class (something like GetStandardInputStream and GetStandardOutputStream from the Console class). You should be able to then write using Console.WriteLine etc and read using Console.ReadLine etc to read and write from cmd.exe.
Note I havn't had the time to look it up properly, but then again that's your job , still might be useful to me when I get the time.

How to check validation numeric field in C# coz C# doesn't has built-in IsNumeric function
Angela
|
|
|
|
|
Three ways
1 - use a MaskedEditBox
2 - write your own handler so the edit box only takes numbers
3 - use Char.IsNumber to check all the characters in the string.
