You can replace colors using ImageAttributes.SetRemapTable (see the example code) and for color dropper you can use a timer and Graphics.CopyFromScreen.

Topmost property not working properly

Hello there,

I'm having some weird issues using the "topmost" property of a form.

I want a form to be put on top of all other windows when a specific event occurs. So the code is triggered in a timer event, I just do:

this.TopMost = true;
this.TopMost = false;

This works ... most of the time, sometimes it does not make the form at the top at all, and in one machine I have access to when it works, it acts weird as it stays topmost although I click at other windows, until I click on the form and click back anywhere else, then it goes to the back properly.

Is there any documented/undocumented bug with topmost property in forms? I'm up to a point where I'm sure there is nothing in my code messing with that, and it's giving me some major headaches this issue.

I suspect that you're doing it too quick, try BringToFront instead. It's not normal to make a form topmost and then change it back right away.

I did actually tried BringToFront, with the exact same results. Let me explain further. The form in fact do go to topmost level most of the time, but sometimes it stops coming to the front, and the other issue with the "double focus" also happens using BringToFront.

Hello!

when I format my xml files with Formatting.Indented empty tags gets a few extra spaces,

< appConfig >< /appConfig >

becomes

< appConfig >
< /appConfig >

I think I can handle this with IndentChar, but I havent figured out how yet. Could anyone give me a pointer?

hi Prasad,

you must have a got a pretty decent idea by now about the CellBeginEvent.
In the same, you need to validate the text to be of integer type.
Use the following piece of code for DataGrid1, its row 1 and cell 1

if (!Char.IsDigit(e.KeyChar) && e.KeyChar !=(char)8)
    { 
MessageBox.Show("The text that you have entered is not integer.");
    } 
else 
{
            LoggerDatagrid.Rows[1].Cells[1].Value = integer value that you want;
}

Hi,
After binding datagridview with dataset, when users modify, add or delete the datagridview rows, I want to use datasource of datagridview to run OleCommandBuilder object. But an error appears "Unable to cast object of type bindingsource to type datatable"
I am very confused and have you help me how to convert nimdingsource to datatable.....

You need to fill dataset first,

adap.Fill(dsFunction);<br />

If the datagrid is empty, then fill it first. And then try to bind the table to the datasource.

DataGrid1.Rows.Add(1); <br />
DataGrid1.Rows[1].Cells[1].Value  = "Some String";

What does 'fresher' mean ? What part do you already know how to do ? What part is confusing you ? You didn't ask in the ASP.NET forum, do you mean this to be a web page ?

Because, when I was in primary school, I was taught to put a space before an after a question mark. Not saying this is 100% right, but it's what I learned, so it's how I do it.

i assume, you did not mean web page.
well, you can use sql server or any other database.
You will have to create database/tables either through the code or should be available in advance.
Accordingly you have to create connection, and a command to read/write/update accordingly.
There are lots of sites explaning the connection to the database.
