Thanks Simon,

Fiddle is good, but can only monitor IE http traffic. I want to monitor some specific application's traffic. Any comments? Could Fiddle do this or any other recommendations for this goal?

Fiddler can monitor non IE traffic. Think you have to set your app to send it's data through a specific proxy address which fiddler will monitor and forward on.

There's a bunch of stuff in the help docs on their website. Look for the bits on configuring fiddler for .net apps.

(Or try the other suggestions. Maybe wireshark does what you're after, I've never used it so I'm not sure.)

Well whatever API you are using to send data already should be configurable to work via a proxy. Check the docs for the particular API you are using. I think the standard .net http stuff uses the WinINet API underneath which I believe fiddler will just pick up automatically anyway without any config.

Just want to confirm with you from what I learned, we can use WebRequest.Proxy to explicitly set the proxy to be used for each web request?

You're going to get it as a stream from DirectX, same as the video, if the webcam has an audio stream.

Hi All,

Regarding this C# statement:

CodePrimitiveExpression stringPrimitive = new CodePrimitiveExpression("Test String");
System.Console.WriteLine(stringPrimitive);

the output will be "Test String", is there anyway that i can get rid of the double quotes, so the output can only be:

Test String
instead of
"Test String"

Outputs this:

I just googled and found that it is for loading exponents.

Solution is

Math.pow(base, exponent)

hi,
(this is only a design issue).

In a particular form i load pictures to a picturebox from a Database
(or when uploading with browse).
That picturebox is inside a panel.
The picturebox as the sizemode propriety set to AUTOSIZE (remember this).
What i want is to center the picturebox inside the panel!!!
It looks simply right? Wink | ;)

I got width and height of both panel and picturebox and did the math,
but ... because it is AUTOSIZE, couldn´t center it because i got width and height of the picture original size(the one i load in picturebox)!!!
I can´t get the width and height of the picturebox when AUTOSIZED in order to center it

Want is the propriety to get width and height of AUTOSIZED pictures??? Confused | :confused:

There is none. Autosized means the control is redrawing your pic at the size it wants to.

To get that sort of control, you should draw the pic yourself.

Can't you just dock the picture box in the panel, and let the picture box center the image?

Can't debug CLR locally in VS 2008

I have a CLR UDF that I created a while back and I could debug it locally and remotely. However, I can no longer debug, or step into, it at all. In the output window in VS it says that the attachment succeeded, but, it never makes it to the break point in test.sql or any other break point. I have checked and rechecked the properties and all is in order. I know I haven't changed anything. I also followed a simple tutorial from the web (a couple of them) that don't do anything but return a string saying "hello", and the same problem occurs.

Funny thing to mention is that I was having the same problem yesterday, but it would work off and on. It worked three different times but doesn't seem to want to work at all now.

I have also deleted the binaries and redeployed and that doesn't seem to work either.

In my DataSet, I have a field called "ADMISSION_DATE" in the format of DateTime, which upon displaying in my Report showz up as, lets say, "08-29-08 12:00:00".

3rd Line displays the Date (08-30-08) as required but 4th line displays it as DateTime (08-29-08 12:00:00).

But I want only the date thing (i.e. 08-29-08). And in dataset I don't see any direct DATE conversion methods. Please help.

Hi,

If your column ADMISSION_DATE is datetime, you cannot store only the date portion. Time is set to default if it's not specified. However when you get the datetime from the row, you can truncate it just as you have done.

A DateTime value always has a time component, even if it's zero. The Date property returns a DateTime value where the time component is set to zero, just as you do in line 2.

If you already have the components of the date as numbers, don't format them into a string just to parse into a date. There is a perfectly good constructor for the DateTime structure that takes numbers:

You are storing a string in the field, so if you display it as it is, it can't display in any other way than the way that you formatted it. The only chance that it would display with a time component, is if it's parsed into a DateTime value and the formatted into a string again using a different format.
