But its worth a thousand words.
Failure is not an option; it's the default selection.

Thank you for your response David
Anyway,I rezolve the problem with SQLite removing this
<configSections>
</configSections>
from form.config (app.config)
But now, if I started this topic with this question, I want to know how I can make that my application (with database) become movable into another pc and the database can be opened by my application ?

You'd have to install the appropriate database engine on the target machine and copy over your application, and then register any libraries, blah, blah, blah...
The easier method is to make an installer for it.

amx_tiger wrote: The database is Sql Server Compact (.mdf).
Sql Server Compact/CE uses the .sdf file extension. Your database is not a Sql Compact database. Sqlite is also a very different database-format from Sql Server.
Show us the original ConnectionString ; I bet it points to an Sql Express version. You'd only need to change the servers' location, perhaps the login-information.

The original ConnectionString is :
Data Source=.\SQLEXPRESS;AttachDbFilename=|DataDirectory|\Database.mdf;Integrated Security=True;Connect Timeout=30;User Instance=True
Thank you

That means you're using Sql Express, not Compact or Sqlite. Is there a Sql Express server installed on that other computer? It won't work without it.
This connectionstring should work "as is", since it's pointing to the Sql Express version on the "same" machine. If you want to point to your original Sql Express database, then you'll have to replace the ".\SQLEXPRESS" with "MACHINENAME\SQLEXPRESS".

No, I'm pretty sure you don't; you really want to use SQL Server Express.

Using an application that creates setups. You can choose from ClickOnce, InnoSetup, InstallShield and others.

Hi,
When I tried to access a method of webservice, I got the below exception in my windows application(.net 3.5).
"Client found response content type of 'multipart/related; but expected 'text/xml'."
When I searched, I found the solutions for web applications using MTOM encoding in wsHttpBinding. How can I resolve this issue in windows application(without installing WSE)
Thanks in advance.

Try to use a tool like TCP monitor to check what is being sent over the wire.
It could be that you are getting a response like 'authentication failed' which your client is not able to read.
You cannot use MTOM without using WSE (unless you are use WCF).

TCP monitor showing the below response
"<soapenv:envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"><soapenv:body><ns1:getclientidresponse xmlns:ns1="http://abc.com/data/xx/xxService">
--MIMEBoundary_4a93bd5d7dcbb70d03b467000df991e9537137eb808fad18--
"
There is no repsonse with 'authentication failed'
I used WCF Service Library project and added the wsdl file as webreference. Still I'm getting the same exception "Client found response content type of 'multipart/related; but expected 'text/xml'"

Hi,
I have a DataGridView called MyDataGrid1. Based on a field value I need to hide the bottom line for certain rows.
DataTable MyStudentsDtb = new DataTable();
MyStudentsDtb.Columns.Add("sl_no", Type.GetType("System.String"));
MyStudentsDtb.Columns.Add("standard", Type.GetType("System.String"));
MyStudentsDtb.Columns.Add("student_section", Type.GetType("System.String"));
MyStudentsDtb.Columns.Add("no_of_student", Type.GetType("System.Int32"));
MyDataGrid1.DataSource = MyStudentsDtb; My Requirement...
Once the user enters '20' in no_of_student, then I want to remove the CellBorder Lines on that row and further 19 rows below to that CurrentRow, Is this possible?
Thanks For The Help..

I imagine it's technically possible, but there's something wrong with your data structure. The number of students shouldn't be in the students table.
Also, you can just use typeof(string) and typeof(int) instead of calling Type.GetType.

So you told all your workers "not to click" the file, and are hoping to catch a hacker who "does" click it?
Why would I click on a file that I'm interested in? I'd zip it, download it, and then I'd look at it. Best way to find the "unauthorized" user is by going trough the connection-logs.

exactly. the legitimate user know the honeypot files and he'll never select them, the files will named with attractive names like "credit card details"...
i don't need that the unlegitimate user will open this file, only one click, if he select the file i want to lock the system, how can i check if honeypot file like: C:\credit_card.txt was selected?
BTW this project not suppose to defend against hackers, only against unauthorized user that use my PC or laptop without my acception to extract worth data.

The "legitimate user" will be the only person ever selecting them. It merely takes a screensaver and a certain point of focus.
Member 8762977 wrote: the files will named with attractive names like "credit card details"...
Why would I click a file? Most hackers will not be using RDP, there's little to click from a command-line. I will not be looking for "attractive filenames", I'll be going for all that resembles logfiles to hide my arse! Once the attacker is feeling secure, they might download data. Not activate it, but download it. That is, assuming that they're even looking for data, as opposed to uploading a keylogger.

Windows does not inform other applications on which files are selected from a random dialog. This would be complex to achieve, without helping much.
..that is, unless you are trying to "secure" an insecure desktop, where multiple people have physical access to the desktop. Is there a by any chance a Post-It note on the monitor with the password?
