How about when the form loads? That'd select them all, even before the list is shown.

set MultiSelect property true and checked list item in loop.

If I'm interpreting your question right you want the user to be able to select all of the items in the ListView, but you don't want to give them a button to do it? If so, why not set up a context menu with a Select All option? Then, as others have suggested, step through all the items in the LV and set Checked = true; for each item.

Hello
I have to separate lists containing two columns: Dates - Values
One of the lists have all dates from startdate to enddate, while the other list is missing weekends and holidays. So this missing holes I need to replace by the value from day before and then add these values to a new list with all dates in one column, and then values-list1 and values-list2 in two next columns...
public override void OnShutdown()
{
string[] row = new string[7];
double Close;
string currentLine;
long dates_in_IQB;
for (int i=0;i<AccountHistoryCount(0);i++){
dates_in_IQB = (long)AccountHistoryDateTime(0, i);
DateTime newDate = new DateTime(dates_in_IQB);
OutputWriteLine(String.Format("Date {0}", newDate));
}
using (StreamReader sr = new StreamReader("d:/documents/SPY Ref1.csv")){
sr.ReadLine();
while((currentLine = sr.ReadLine()) != null)
{
row = currentLine.Split(',');
DateTime Date = DateTime.ParseExact(row[0], "dd.MM.yyyy", null);
Close = double.Parse(row[6]);
}
}
}
I'm pretty new to the programming, so I guess I need the information down to every details.
Kind regards
Espen

I've been active around here for 10 years.
The way you worded your question makes it seem like you want someone to write your code for you and supply you with exactly what would be required for a homework assignment.
The quality of the question directly dictates the quality of the answers you get.

Using the MD5 class is not that hard. There is even a sample in the MSDN documentation. Have a look here: MD5 Class[^].
Try to do this assignment on your own. You'll probably find that it really isn't all that hard to do.

What? As soon as you embed the hash value of a previous calculation, you change the program. And consequently, the hash value is no more the same.

What exactly did you mean by writing: "The program must have an actual and expected output embedded in the program." ?
You'll have to explain that a bit more.
Cheers!

Hi friends. I have a database and people send some info into this db. But sending time is totally random. So now i check this db every 20 seconds and refresh my program according to new data. But as my user count increases, i need a more efficient approach. I mean how can my program know that somebody added something new into db.

Informing each client of each change in the database is a known anti-pattern; not only does it generate quite some traffic, it also moves the problem of concurrent edits to the UI.
leone wrote: i need a more efficient approach Add a table that holds the "last" datetime that you "modified" your tables. Would consist of two columns; datetime and the name of the table that's changed.
Have the client query that table to see if there are any changes. Means fetching data from a table, and the last modification-datetime for that table

Hello,
Can someone help me with this.
I see the following error and I dont understand the reason behind this issue.
I browsed through different sites but I didnt get an appropriate answer for this
ERROR :
System.UriFormatException: Invalid URI: The format of the URI could not be determined.

You get this exception for any of the reasons listed in the appropriate exceptions item here[^]. If you showed us what your Uri looked like, we could help.

That's a whole mess of code to wade through. If you put breakpoints in place and step through your code (or look at the stack trace when the exception is thrown) you should get a better idea of which bit is breaking.

I have issues in hitting the debug points as well.
The main code is a webservice call where the webservice is a vb.net code and it is being invoked by a java application.
When I set the debug point on T_PAGELOAD and invoke the webservice, it doesnt even hit the breakpoint and I get the response of the webservice call.

Okay - put some logging in your code, and use try/catch blocks to see if you can narrow down the area that's causing the problem.

Hi all
I'm playing around with threading at the moment (self-directed learning) and what I would like to do is bounce balls around in a windows each with a thread of their own. I know this might not be the BEST way to do this, I want to do it purely for the learning.
My idea is that I'll have a ball object that will be updated by a timer Event. At regular intervals, on a separate thread, I'll get the positions off all my balls and Draw them to the window. I will probably attempt to get some collision detection between balls going eventually but for now, they'll just bounce if they hit the sides/top of the window.
Anyway, what I really would like to do is have the balls move around with fairly good physics. ie. gravity. But, my maths although good is inappropriate (I did maths & statistics at A level for my current career in biology). So, what equations can I use to give me x and y coordinates when I plug in an increasing value for time(t)? I realise I'll need to check if for x+radius>=rightWallX and x-radius<=leftWallX etc. it's just the movement in the presence of gravity I need.
Can anyone help me out with the maths? I did try google but I think I'm failing to provide the 'right' search terms to find what I want.
