Hello,
Is it possible in VS.NET to make a separate dll's for images alone. What I want to do is to change images in a C# program by changing the image dll's, so you dont have to open VS.NET to do that. (kinda like changing languages in a C# program).

Hello,
I have a user control with a panel which contains a checkedlistbox on it. I'm changing the controls sizes in the mousemove event, the problem is that it starts flickering. I have another user control which has a treeview instead of checkedlistbox and there is no such problem. So is the problem in the checkedlistbox control ? I used SetStyles with UserPaint, DoubleBuffer, AllPaintingInWmPaint for the user control but it didn't help. Any suggestions how to solve the problem?
Thanks

It seems flicker problem is a big disadvantage of C#, I developed a drawing tool using C#, It flicked terribly when drawing more figures. And I also use DoubleBuffer, AllPaintingInWmPaint. Its effect is not so good.

Hi,
I have another problem. The user control I'm using is shown in a grid cell. When I click the cell I set the sizes of the panel, checkedlistbox and the form so they fit in the cell. The strange thing is when I show the form if it is less than 112pxl it is set to them. I can't think what can cause this problem . Any ideas?

Dear all,
Does anyone has sample source code for audio wave file output through a DAC to speaker.
Please advise.
Wave file -> saved into SRAM/flash then memory is retrieved from a microcontroller and output to a DAC for conversions. After converting from digital to analog format, it will be output to speaker.
Please advise.Thanks.

hi guys,
i was wondering if anyone knows how to extract the file summary properties of a pdf document in .NET environment. Similar to right clicking a file then choosing properties and then selecting the summary tab.
Now microsoft does provide a dll called dsofile.dll for .net. But it does not read pdf file properties because its not an ole document. I have come across something called IPropertyStorage but this is also used in the dsofile.dll so thats no help to me unless i have misunderstood it.
Having given upon on that front, I ventured into looking up the adobe acrobat sdk 7. In the adobe acrobat sdk 7 and it mentions something about containing within the pdf file a metadata descriptor. This metadata is encapsulated in the document dictionary information within the pdf.
I have tried loading a few of the COM objects that comes with adobe acrobat reader but couldnt find anything relevant to extact with metadata information. Unless i have overlooked something, have i ?
Anyone have any ideas as how one could extract this meta data information using .net ?
At the moment i am totally stuck so i would very much appreciate it if anyone could throw any other ideas as how i can read pdf properties.
thanks

All of this code is IN THE SAME PROJECT. What am I doing wrong?
WinForm -> I have created an event handler for my "Add" button control.
I then added a generic class to the project "MyClass" with a constructor that takes a (private) int x with Set and Get properties.
OnButtonAdd
{
WHAT DO I NEET TO DO TO INSTANTIATE "MyClass" so the Win Form "sees" it??
}
Namespace problem? Parameter args wrong?
thanks in advance...

Does it not compile, or is intellisense just failing ? Have you typed in the full namespace to the class, to see what happens ? I take it you mean the int that goes in gets put onto a private variable with get and set properties ?
The WinForm won't 'see' the class instance for any longer than this method call, unless you're passing it's instance into an ArrayList or something.

Hi,
I think I am not sure how to set the docking properties in an application may be.
I am using the ShellControl control [^]which was written by Senthil. I have created an application and I am using a splitter in this application and pn the right side of the application is a tab control for displaying one treeview and one listview.(it is still not there in the application though) My Problem is that I am not able to fix the width of the different parts. I want the table control be the 1/3 of the application window and the shellcontrol window be 2/3 of the width. How I do it? Because when I maximize the application window, the application looks funny. You can find the application I wrote here.
http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~amohanty/4_ShellControl.zip
Also, I want to add the opacity property to the ShellControl[http://www.codeproject.com/cs/miscctrl/shellcontrol.asp] control. How do I do it? Senthil has not set the opacity property. I want my application to look little cool. So I want to have the opacity, which I can control. I guess it is possible to control the opacity of the elements of an application, which doees not affect the opacity of the whole application window.

LOL
The general way to control the size of objects is the Anchor property. I set the right control to anchor in all four directions and got what I thought was acceptable. If you can't get what you want using these properties, then you need to override the OnSize event and size your controls manually.
I'm looking at the other problem now. As you say, the control does not support transparent colors. Not sure there's anything you can do about it.

Thanks..I think I will ask Senthil if anything can be done about the opacity property. Basically i think now I have to learn how to write a windows control library. Am I right? But I am not able to find a good tutorial to start with..
Anyway, great job, Chris..I really appreciate it. If I ever develop a commercial application I think I sud give you half of my money ..

Amit

I have the vaguest recollection of being able to send a message to a control in the past where I got this error message for trying to set opacity, but I just can't remember the details. I hope it works out for you.

Can I possibly use panel and write
this.tabControl1.Width=this.ClientSize.Width/3;
something like that..let me try and see

|

Yes, you can do that in your OnSize, for sure. That's the sort of thing I had in mind when I said to use OnSize.
