OK - so it actually packs 15 bits side by side ? b/c surely that's much messier to unpack than 16 bit, which is 2 bytes, not 1 7/8 bytes ?

I think either still use all 16 bits.

No, the high but was just unused. I suspect the intent was to make the pallet symetric by using 5 bits for all three colors.

I have data in a SQL Server™ 2000 database and I would like to write a Windows® Forms app to allow users to export and save the data to Microsoft® Excel. How can I do this using C#?
|
|
|
|
|
Get the Data in data set,data tables and set relationships etc.using data adapter.
Next step is to write into a file using stream object like FileStream
// Get a FileStream object
FileStream myFs =
new FileStream
("myXmlData.xml",FileMode.OpenOrCreate,FileAccess.Write);
You can loop through the rows of your data table and write xml elements and nodes to the xml file
or else
you can use dataset's writexml property

Hello Uma,
GridView may or may not have something similar, but ComponentOne's FlexGrid for .NET allows you to load an Excel sheet directly into the grid via the LoadExcel Method. There are few different possibilities for parameters. For example:
'Load the first sheet in the file
FlexGrid1.LoadExcel("myFile.xls")
'Load a specific sheet, sheetname1, into the grid
FlexGrid1.LoadExcel("myFile.xls", "sheetname1")
You can also add a FileFlags parameter, but it is difficult to explain here. If you are interested, check for FileFlags Enumeration in the FlexGrid help file. If you think that you may want to try FlexGrid, you can get more information and download an evaluation here http://www.componentone.com/products.aspx?TabTypeID=1&ItemType=1&PanelIndex=12&ItemID=53459&SubCategoryTypeID=0&TabMapID=9&TabID=11[^].

Hello,
I am doing windows mobile using c# visual studio 2005.NETFramework 2.0
I am getting the exception when i try to bind the listbox:
Control.Invoke must be used to interact with controls created on a separate thread.
I tried to use this code:
System.Windows.Forms.Form.CheckForIllegalCrossThreadCalls = false;
Error: 'System.Windows.Forms.Form' does not contain a definition for 'CheckForIllegalCrossThreadCalls'
Already i am adding using System.Runtime.InteropServices;
I need to add any other Referrence?
Anybody help me

This is a common problem with many questions on this site asking the same thing.
You don't need InteropServices, check Control.InvokeRequired
only two letters away from being an asset

I need a 3rd party assembly in my program. But when I try to build my program with strong naming I get an error that the assembly cannot created because of the 3rd party assembly is not strong named..
How can I build my program with a strong name using a not strong named 3rd party assembly...
best regards!
.:: Something is Wrong ::.

|

Simply: You can't.
When you want to strong name an assembly, it must use only other strong-named assemblies.
You can try signing the third party assembly yourself if it's been marked for delay-signing, but I doubt you'll succeed.

If it's on stuff your code is drawing, the Graphics object has a scale transform which is an excellent way to do zoom.

I think you should use javascript at client side to do that.
IE has build-in zoom support. e.g. body.style.zoom = 120%

How to work with sessions in c# programming in a project.
Govind
|
|
|
|
|
Well, assuming it's a web app, you shove stuff into the session and pull it back out again.
Do you have access to google ? Also, Visual Studio comes with something called MSDN, it's an online document store - full of info.
What I'm saying is, you're asking a very broad question, the sort that requires an article to answer it, not a forum post.

I've answered this, please stop asking these questions and instead go and read any basic XPath tutorial.

foreach(XmlNode node in doc.SelectNodes("//details/add/addr"))
Well, to be honest, I see no sign that you've done anything I've told you to do, to date. Your nodes are still named addr1, addr2 and addr3, which means the above XPath will never return anything. If you want the add node, then you want to use SelectSingleNode, and if you can't work out that to select the add node you need //details/add, then there's a serious problem here.
