I implemented a add-in for visual studio 2005.
But, I don't know how to get the path of the add-in dll?
I.e. I will install the add-in to C:\Add-in\
When the add-in is executed, how can I get the path?
Appreciate you help.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but there's no listview control for ASP.NET. Instead you have to use the GridView control or the DataList control. Hope this helps a bit.

First of all thanx for replaying.
yes, there is no any such control available in asp.net.
grid view can be my solution if there is any facilty for displaying directory and file in icon view on page. if there is any other solution then please let me know it.
thanx

Hi,
I am writing a database application that is using a dataset with hardcoded connection string (set upon project creation). Unfortunately, after quite a while of work I was told to store the conn string in a config file. I have no idea how to do it other way then by using an external text editor and modifying my *.xsd file manually (I am not even sure if this is the only place where this string is stored).
I am aware and pretty sure this is not a neat solution of my problem. But on the other hand, regenerating my entire dataset, dataTableAdapters and queries would be a couple-of-days-long work which I would prefer to avoid.
Can anyone help me, please.
Regards
Rob

I'm writing an Windows Application in C# using VS.Net 2003. In that I have many datagrid operations. I'm stuck with some operations on datagrid and connecting to database. Can anybody provide any good site or article which explains datagrid operations in Windows Applications using C#, like we have one in

Thanks in advance,

Christian meant Code Project. If you are on these forums, then you are already here. An article search for datagrids should return some good results

OK......
Seems to me like you want a stored proc that generates a report and takes the two dates as parameters ?

What report viewer are you talking about ? You would call the stored proc, then pass the resultant data set to the reporting control, I would have thought.

So after calling the stored proc, how to pass the result to the report control?
Let's clear us more...

2--
and there is also another problem, i am using data grid with paging enabled and page soze is 20, but the problem is when i click in next page buttown is still remains on the first page, kindly sort out my problems , thanks again

1 - sounds like you have some CSS setting the height of the table as a whole, and it's stretching to fit
2 - the problem is obviously that the code is wrong, we can't exactly tell you where, without seeing it.

What is a faster way to do this (changing example 255 = 0, 254 = 1, 253 = 2, etc...)
<br />
byte[] buffer = new byte[size];<br />
br.Read(buffer, 0, 5000000);<br />
<br />
for (int i = 0; i < buffer.Length; i++)<br />
{<br />
buffer[i] = byte.Parse((255 - buffer[i]).ToString());<br />
}<br />
<br />
<br />
bw.Write(buffer);<br />
Thank you all
