My idea was to write an application which can intercept all messages when i move the mouse. The firsts attempt was to write a mouse hook, and i done that , but how can i take all messages from the other application when my mouse use them?
Ex: when the mouse it's over Minimize button, but not in my application. How can i take those WM_NCHITTEST messages? I know the handle window, under the mouse.

i have MDI application with drawing ability to child forms. i passed a message box asking whether it want to save it or not(only with YesNoCancel buttons) when closing event fires in MDI Child. I want to add a another message box with YES ,No , No to All, Cancel buttons when u try to close the application from the Main form(MDI Parent). but if u try to close from child form it only ask YES,No,Cancel buttons.
How can i do this
any method
thanks

i think u should create your own form... and on closing event. show your form.. and then on that form code whatever u want to code

|

yeah i have create separate form as message box to show that No To All button
but from main form there is no notification goes to this closing event comes from main from and this comes from child class
I just want to know how can i identified those tow events

The easiest way is handling all the closing logic by yourself and not rely on the Form's events. The order in which they are fired when closing an MDIParent window will not let you do what you want. As far as I know, unless they've changed it, you will be getting the Closing events of all the MDI child forms before you get the Closing event of the MDIParent, which is exactly the opposite of what you want.
This is a problem because normally all your logic linked to a closing form like for example requesting user validation in order to close, save, cancel, whatever, is linked to the Closing event, so you would have all these features popping up for each open MdiChild before you can do anything in your MdiParent Closing event.
Fortunately, its easy to solve: In pseudo code it would be something similar to this:
In your MdiParent Form:>
protected override void WndProc(ref Message m)
{
If m.Msg is WM_CLOSE (0x0010):
{
Show dialog window with closing options >> yes, no, no to all and store result in Answer
If Answer is cancel then m.Result = IntPrt.Zero and return without calling base WndProc.
Otherwise do all logic and supress closing warning messages on each MDI child form if necessary. (You'll need to code some kind of flag that will let you disable closing validation messages on your child forms. Then you simple iterate the MdiChildren collection disabling the flag)
}
Call base WndProc.
}
This way you have the advantage of handling the main form closing event before your mdichilds close 1 by 1. If this is the behaviour you always want then you are done.

hello in datagrid i have next and previous buttons code in vb.net can u convert this code into c#.net.(version 1.1)
code for <next> button
<pre>
if datagrid1.current page index<datagrid1.pagecount_1 then datagrid1.current page index+=1
</pre>
code for <previous> button
<pre>
if datagrid1.current page index>0 then datagrid1.current page index_=1
</pre>

This looks pretty trivial to me. There are free converters on the web, but I don't see how you'd need them.
if (datagrid1.current.page.index < datagrid1.pagecount_1) datagrid1.current.page.index += 1;
something like that.

i have a windows service which request a webservice. The windows service gets the url of webservice from application configuration file( i.e appconfig file) now how can i write to app config file from setup and deployment project(i.e the installer).

One Post is enough.

In order to accomplish this, you will need to create a custom installer class. This can be a separate library or a class in your service. Within you installer class, you can write to the app.config after it is installed.
Just a note, there are not a lot of articles on the subject.

What options are there to create a windowless program? For example the desktop clocks and calendars, which have no "window" or borders. Is this a transparency setting? Or how can this be accomplished? Any tips, hints, or places to research would be appreciated. Also how do you mount the program to the desktop?
Thanks

Dear Friends,
I have a problem, i want that user can upload file to my web page(for eg then can add picture) and then i want to display the same file in my webpage after the uploading of that file...
second thing i want to do is that user can write comments in my webpage so i want to display that comment in my webpage....(just same as i am writing a question now and then it will display at the codeproject webpage)
Plz help...

Use fileupload control available in vs.net 05 and set the properties of that control to save files...
also save file paths in db so that when u want to show the photos just show them using the file path saved in db
and for your comments i think the approach to save in db first and then display it on the form is a better idea

Hi, I'm working with huge double arrays (300x300 or 640x640) and I need to write them to a txt file, but it takes too long...
Anyone knows a way to write the arrays faster? It doesn't matter if I have to write them in another format.
Thanks
|
|
|
|
|
if speed is important, choose a binary file, not a text file.
foreach (double d in myArray) binaryWriter.Write(d);
|
|
|
|
|
If you don't much care about the format of the file, use Serialization (with a binary formatter).
Look it up in MSDN, or articles here.

Hi, thanks for the help.
The thing is that i want to write these arrays for easy visualization. Writing them to a txt file seem easy to me to read and compare between them by eye.
|
|
|
|
|
of cource, you need to serialize it in a class
