I databinded the gridview to datatable and displayed the fields.But the edit of gridview is not working..I am getting the following error.
'The GridView 'GridView2' fired event RowEditing which wasn't handled.'
Can anybody help me with this?

For this You have to register Gridview2_RowEditing Event in Code behind.
For example :
protected void GridView2_RowEditing(object sender, GridViewEditEventArgs e)
{
//Write your editing Code here.
}
And for cancelling editing, You need to register Gridview2_RowCancellingEdit event.
For Example :
protected void GridView2_RowCancelingEdit(object sender, GridViewCancelEditEventArgs e)
{
}.
You can visit MSDN for further information http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.web.ui.webcontrols.gridview.rowediting.aspx[^]
Hope this will make sense to you.

how to check weather all field of table has filled or not???
|
|
|
|
|
Is this to be done in the UI (validator and should be in the ASP forum) or in the code behind in which case you check the controls on the form or the datatable has null values.
|
|
|
|
|
We have an ASP.NET forum. The documentation on validators is also very clear, with lots of examples.

Do you mean all field entries are filled or not? If so you can check each individual values that user feed in....
You can also place asp:RequiredFieldValidator for each controls
Or while executing the insert statement, loop through Parameters of command object and see of value of any parameter is null....

Hi!!!
i need to pass some objects from on form to another, using events. the main form does not calls the sec ondary form, it is being called from somewhere else. So i cant use any of the things listed in this article.
Passing Data Between Forms[^]
i tried to use Microsoft unity block (Event broker) method, but it didn't work for me as posted in this article.
http://elegantcode.com/2008/04/09/unity-10-eventbroker-sample-cab-style/[^]
Others methods can be using windows message queues or database.
Is there any other solution. Please i require some help urgently. some code will be appreciated.
Note: Performance is a major issue in my App as i am building a tcp server with some live mapping. And if anyone has a working solution using subscriber/publisher in event broker, it would be highly appreciated.

Why can't you wire up a class with the data and have it implement Inotify events and have both forms subscribe to the events.

I thought I answered this. did you cross post to the VB forum ? Are you using VB or C# ?
You know that any solution, if one exists, will require the user to have Powerpoint installed ?

They obviously do not come from thin air. You can store them in a file, in a database ( but if you don't already have one, that seems like a waste of time ), or in the registry. I'd store them in an XML file.

If you know both of those things, then you already know how to retrieve them the second, or any, time the form is opened. simply do it in the Load event handler of the Form in question.

I don't understand your question then. You know how to use a database, but you don't get that if you want to store the values in your textboxes, you need to write code to store them, and to retrieve the values ?

you have 2 choices
either store the data locally as CG suggested or use form.hide(), this will require you to manage the open form differently but the form values will not change between open/hide events.

when a PDF file is opened in IE, I have to save that PDF without asking the user to save.
How to do this in c#?
Normally I am able to save the HTML pages opened in IE, but PDFs are not saved.
Is there any way to save the currently opened PDF without asking user to save?
|
|
|
|

No, there is no way. Because, it's acrobat, and not IE, that is showing the file, it's acrobat you'd need to interact with.

Then i suggest try using printer driver to PDF. If you select print, and then those drivers will save as PDF
svt gdwl wrote: Is there any way to save the currently opened PDF without asking user to save?
You coud write code to automatcly print to PDF through driver

Your image is too small to read. Why not post the text here ? That's what most people would do.
