Use GetClientRect() if you want the coordinates relative to the upper-left of the client area (i.e., left and top are both 0). Use GetWindowRect() if you want the coordinates relative to the upper-left of the screen.

I'm keen to learn C/C++ and am fairly apt at writing BASIC. Does anyone know of any good free intepreters? I have downloaded Dev-C++ but am wondering if theirs anything better on offer for beginners out there.
Cheers.

hey dude, C/C++ are compiled languages, far from basic !!!
you should first learn at the basics of the C or the object oriented C++ before trying to "interpret" it...
i advise you this book[^] ; "The C++ Language", from the creator of the C++...
the best reference i've ever read for C++.

Any language can be interpreted, even machine code (PC Emulators for Gameboy, Arcade machines, palms, etc.).
There is actually an old book that was like "Learn C in 12 days" or something that actually came with a C Interpreter so you could learn C, only run your apps in the IDE but not have to buy a compiler.
You are right though, generally C is not an interpreted language as there is no benefit; it's too low level and you would benefit more from the speed of compiling it and it would most likely be the same speed or maybe even slower than a higher level language (essentially, more moving parts need to be interpreted as opposed to single operation that does more work) (There are other benefits of interpreted langauges which I will talk about in the next paragraph)However with langauges you mention, such as BASIC, which are so high level I don't think it matters if they're interpreted or compiled; they run just as slow!
There is however "Managed" C++ that is essentially compiled to a byte code instead of raw machine code which I would basically consider interpreted. This is done for the purpose of stability so the code cannot crash as well as security since the code can run in what would essentailly be a 'sandbox' that can be controled as to what the application has access to.

i suspect that what you meant was "c++ compiler". you could also have a look at visual c++ express (http://lab.msdn.microsoft.com/express/visualc/default.aspx).
however, if you really need an interpreter, check following:
CINT: http://root.cern.ch/root/Cint.html
UnderC: http://freshmeat.net/projects/underc/
Ch (not free): http://www.softintegration.com/
off topic: did anyone notice that if you try to add a link with [^] addition, post gets automatically submitted? or is it just me?

Firefox 1.0.6, but i noticed in one post that Paul Watson has similar problems when trying to quote some text. it seems that it goes for other
things also, e.g. when trying to add a smiley through editor toolbar on the page.

In my ListCtrl i have more than 100 rows. but i am displaying 10 rows at a time. i scrolled my listctrl till 90th row and deleted that row. now my listctrl showing first 10 records but i want that cursor should reside the same position i.e 91st row. it should not scroll to the first position.

Try SetSelectionMark(int Index)
<br />
iListCtrl.SetSelectionMark(91);<br />
Oh, wait this is after you delete the first 90 right? Then
<br />
iListCtrl.SetSelectionMark(0);<br />
Hope that helps.
