I am creating a XML file by using IXMLDOMNode and I am setting value to the node by using the function put_nodeValue(). But whenever I pass & it gets converted to &
Similarly if I pass > it gets converted to >
How to overcome this problem
Is there any escape seqeuence that should be added before passing value to the put_nodeValue().
Pls help

The put_nodeValue method converts '&', '<', and '>' characters to their XML escape sequences &, <, and >, respectively. Instead of 'pre-converting' them, just pass the characters.

No its not converting > and < its converting only &
If I pass > then only & gets converted and resultant node value is &gt;

If you are passing the characters & g t ;, it is converting the initial '&' and then treating the rest of the characters literally. Instead of passing the string & for an '&' character, just pass the '&' character itself.

I will get data like ><, where I have to set the exact value to that node.

I want to have a List Ctrl in which i can Lock the scrolling of some Columns
& want the others to move with the Movement of Scroll bar of Listctrl.
I tried to solve this Problem by using two Listctrl (placing them side by side)& a Horizontal scroll below them but i am not able to get a clean selection... there is always a white spce b/w them when i select a fullrow in both ctrls Row. ?????????????????????????????

hi,
I have a video format called .cam.In this format,the filename,its version are stored in header and picture info and audio info are stored in data.
I can able to retreive the picture info and also able to get all pictures using DIB class.
Now i want to extract audio from the video(.cam).
Is there any class to extract audio?
Can i able to extract and store the audio as .wav file..
I am helpless..please giv me idea

Look into ActiveX. I am afraid that HTML is of least helpful for your requirement. This has become a browser side scripting question you see. No matter if your program is written in VC++ or C or C#.

Browsers don't allow you to do that. They simply open up a download box where you can click on Open to run it from its current location AFAIK.

Try creating an Active-X. Otherwise you'll get the "open,save,cancel" dialog popped.

I think it is quite difficult to implement, because that is against security settings of the browser.
But there is a lateral way to do that.
1. Create a simple COM dll , and implement a function say Execute() in the dll.
2. In execute function; write the code to start your executable. (use System() or ShellExecute() functions )
3. In your HTML write some client side scripts to Create the COM object and call the Execute() function.
This is my idea to resolve the problem.
