You should have a small local program monitoring that file and broadcasting a message to notify all the users that it's status has changed.

This is the whole reason for using ReadDirectoryChangesW() - so that you don't have to waste CPU cycles polling for changes.

No. The way to verify this is to use FileMon.

implement ON_WM_CTLCOLOR for changing color. There's a simple example in MSDN somewhere

|
|
|
|
See WM_CTLCOLOR and another WM_CTLs and for font use SetFont(..);

Hi,
I am developing a small application with capability to add circles/ squares and other objects in embeddedVC++. But I want to add the functionality to select an object.. and delete it...
Currently, I have been with using CDC class to draw them(extending the sample application scribble). But I dont have any idea how to add sensitivity when the stylus is tapped on a certain object.
Thankyou in advance,

I'm looking for sample code that converts WIKI markup (i.e. the **bold** /italic/ ||table||table|| stuff) to (X)HTML.
Any language is fine, C++ preferred, I'm just looking for ideas

ummm don't Wikis have to do that? So get some Wiki source code right?
On this listing there are several C++ implementations.

Use FindFirstFile, FindNextFile if it suits your needs
and get the file name from that.
Somethings seem HARD to do, until we know how to do them.

The first parameter of FindFirstFile() supports wildcards.

See like this
<br />
WIN32_FIND_DATA find;<br />
HANDLE handle=FindFirstFile("*.*",&find);<br />
while(FindNextFile(handle,&find)!=0)<br />
m_List2.AddString(find.cFileName);
FindClose(handle);<br />
of course this code read *.* and insert to a list but you can use like this

Hi,
i want to converts FILETIME into two DWORDs, one for date and the ohter for time in the same way NTFS stores file modification, creation and access date. can anybody teell how to do this.
|
|
|
|
|
a FILETIME structure is already two DWORDs...
typedef struct _FILETIME {
DWORD dwLowDateTime;
DWORD dwHighDateTime;
} FILETIME, *PFILETIME, *LPFILETIME;
Do the chickens have large talons?

I think its not a good idea and i don't have any about the NTFS systems.
The file time is stored as number of 100 nano second intervels, so that much of number cann't be in a singlr DWORD at one level.
This is my thought but don't know excatly..

|
|

Hi,
thanks for replying. I tried to convert the FILETIME into year, months etc by calculating the no of 100 nano second intervals from 1601. But the value i am geting is quite high.
Thanks.

Dear all,
I am writing a Satellite DLL application for Localization process.
I need to allow the user to switch between different langauge at runtime.
[Using regional settings in Control panel we can change the input locale language. Then we can switch langauge using EN icon or shortcut keys]
How to allow the user to input texts in Different Language ? This should be done programatically(dynamically. i.e On-the-fly).
I am working in MFC application under windows 2000.
Experts Kindly suggest me.
Regards,
Karthik M

Go to the dialog editor and open the spin control property window . There you can set the property for Alignment - Left and AutoBuddy to TRUE

Seem_Spin1.SetBuddy(GetDlgItem(IDC_EDIT1));
and maybe you need to this function (if this function is next your question if not maybe it is some helpful to you )
void CAnswer::OnDeltaposSpin1(NMHDR *pNMHDR, LRESULT *pResult)
{
LPNMUPDOWN pNMUpDown = reinterpret_cast<LPNMUPDOWN>(pNMHDR);
SetDlgItemInt(IDC_EDIT1,m_Spin1.GetPos());
*pResult = 0;
}

Not without more information. When you say, "does not run," what exactly does that imply? Do you get a runtime error, an exception, an assertion, some incorrect value, etc? Have you stepped through the code using the debugger to see, or at least narrow down, what the problem is?
BTW, didn't you just ask this same question here a mere 2 hours ago?
