The Tab isn't going to go to that control if TabStop is false.
kindman_nb wrote: sometimes I found some labels it's location is changed by itselfes
Weird. Depending on the version of Visual Studio your using, try installing the latest service pack for it.
kindman_nb wrote: and also I found sometimes the text of labels is Null , really Why
The Text property can NEVER be Null (or Nothing in VB). It can, however, be an empty string (String.Empty).

Don't make me slap you silly. Here we are, a bunch of developers, who make a living off of writing code and selling it, and YOU and YOUR friends are stealing the very code people write to make a living. Sorry, all support for you ended right here until you go to DevExpress and pay for the package you stole. Then , you can talk to them about supporting the controls you bought.

Hi
At the first I'm using vb.net 2005 , I hope if any upgrading is allowed
Then second thing , thanks really thanks for all advices , and I considered you as my older brother who is steering me , but let me talking with you alone , and I hope you to be patient .
I'm a new programmer with vb.net , and I face a lot of troubles whose became easy after I know it , and I have many packages with vb6 , and I hate if anyone try to copy it without an authentication from me , then from here as I hate that all others are like me , then it isn't a straightness to copy any products of any one , really I feel with embarrassing
On few words I like to tell you some things
When you as a simple programmer want to design programs and sell it on a challenges life with high companies whose has the abilities of stuff programmers and money , what you can do on that life , the user when you try to show your products , he make comparison with others , then you found that you must use then high controls to give your program the magic touch, when you go to ask the price of it , that price is more than your ability ,
You found some friends add you all you products that you want and more ,
I will tell you a thing that you don't want to see , who makes the cracks ,,, they are members on your website , who is my friend which gave me this products , he is also a member of your website ,
I'd like to say that problem is widespread between the small programmers who don't have the ability to buy ,,,,
What I will do now to promise you to use the default controls of VB.Net , but I want to say a thing ,, the copy of VB.net I have get it free , the copy of WindowXP , Office XP , Adobe programs , Norton Programs and Macromedia programs …. Etc ,
Tell me are all programs on your PC is licensed ??? then if you have then you are like all computer users ,
My friend, who has the ability to buy all that products which is necessary , when you navigate on the web you will find that 99% of users on the world have a lot of programs without licenses ,
Dave Kreskowiak wrote: Don't make me slap you silly
From me to my brother the advice isn't as above ,
Are you with me

Yep. I have too much to loose if they're not. Spending the $600 on a library is a lot cheaper than $250,000 per incident if I'm caught.
Which brings me to the problem that you have. Sure, you can develope applications with a stolen library and sell them. But, if DevExpress finds out about it, they can sue you for, say $250,000, PER COPY of your application that you sold using their controls. They can also go after your customers for the same thing, who are then going to come after you to pay the bill.
Hmmm, $600 vs. potential say $1,000,000... The choice is pretty obvious to me.
The other side is that you're a small development house and can't afford the cost of the controls, so you have to make up for the "pretty controls" with higher quality, rock solid code and supieror support for your customers. THAT brings in the money to get the prettier controls. Even DevExpress had to start somewhere...

If you try to write that in English, I might be able to understand more than a fraction of it. - Guffa

If you don't make it disabled, your UI will be user hostile, the control will look usable, but won't be. You can do this, but I don't recommend it.

I am trying to create a Class Library that I can use to store icons in (just like Windows' Shell32.dll file), but I'm not sure where to begin. I thought maybe setting all the icons I want to store as a resource and then calling them from there, but I'm not sure if that would be the right way to do so.
Could someone give me an idea on how to do this please? Thanks.

You mean something like this? Loading Bitmap pictures from external DLL on VB 6.0[^]
I'd love to help, but unfortunatley I have prior commitments monitoring the length of my grass. :Andrew Bleakley:

Close. I was talking more like building a DLL file in Vb.Net that has icon files in it so I can call them. Like when you want to change an icon for a folder in Windows, you can choose the icon you want out of the Shell32.dll file.
I'm not sure about the right way to do this, so I was looking for some ideas. If I cannot do this, is there maybe a program that can?
Thanks.

Hi,
Im trying to pause a video at certain intervals.
Currently I have added a movie player pro activeX control and have a text box (txtcur) which states to the user which position the video is at. I also have a trackBar displaying:
Code: TrackBar1.Value = eventArgs.iCurrent
txtCur.Text = Str(eventArgs.iCurrent)
What i would like to do is basically pause the video at certain intervals e.g.
If txtCur = 10000 then
do something....
end if
However this doesnt seem to work. I just wanted to know if something like this is possible, and if so how?
(im using timer function at the moment but find it restricting and repetitive).
Thanks in advance
Jaidev
P.s Merry xmas to you all.

A timer function exists to be repetitive. It is the logical choice for pausing video at certain intervals. You should not be checking the text on your control, you should just use your timer. Or, you should be checking if the actual video position >= 10000, so if you don't check it at the moment it's 10000, it will still work as soon as it can. Don't check the control, check the video that is the source and primary arbiter of the value you're checking.

Why not just import it using Access, then you don't have to write any code!
What have you written so far? We'll help you with your code, but we won't write it for you.

Just save the file path in a variable and when you click your Save button, have it read the whether or not the file path is set. Like so:
If FilePath <> "" Then
SaveFunction(FilePath)
Else
SaveAs()
End If
Hope this helps you out.

how to set an image size as the screen resolution size?
Happy Holidays

What? Are you asking how to change the magnification of the image? You would normally just use one of the DrawImage overloads that let you specify the size of the drawn image. It'll be scaled automatically to that size on the target drawing surface.

You're still not.
charchabil03 wrote: i want when i run the solution, the image size will be the same size as the resolution size
So, what's stopping you from drawing the image, or whatever your app is doing, using one of the DrawImage overloads?
You have to spell out what your app is doing and how this image is being displayed. Is it in a PictureBox? Is it the background image of a control or form? ...?
