What does the code look like that's storing the data?? What does the schema look like for the table you're storing this data in?
I never use MySQL so my knowledge quite is limited. But, the first thing I would suspect is that MySQL is interpreting the backslash as an escape character.
You're single best source of information specific to MySQL would be the support forums at http://forums.mysql.com[^].

"Can" or "should"?? In either case, IMHO, that time has long since past. Your about 3 versions of VB.NET behind.

VB.NET 2005 or 2008. You'd probably be surprised to find you've been wasting your time writing code for so much basic stuff that comes standard in the .NET Framework.

Thanks for replying. I just downloaded VB express 2008.
I felt more comfortable when I tried it.
Do I miss much not using the full blown version?

If following VB6, probably not missing much from the professional version. But you may find new stuffs that you will want to make use of in Visual Studio (ie Mobile Device Dev).
Here's a comparison chart for VS2005, VS2008 shouldn't be very far off (Haven't found the comparison chart for 2008 yet).

What do you mean by 'template' ? You can't hijack a browser on another computer via a windows program, no.

Have a look at the BitVector32[^] structure. It is specifically designed to assist with bit manipulation operations.

Well, a gridview can be set up to support an 'add' link that gives you a row with textboxes and saves the data to the server.

Private Structure CUSTOM_EXPORT
Dim Name_Renamed As String
Dim ViewName As String
Dim List() As String
Dim filter_Renamed() As String
Dim ColHeadName() As String
Dim ColWidth() As Object
Public Sub Initialize()
ReDim List(255)
ReDim ColHeadName(255)
ReDim ColWidth(255)
End Sub
End Structure
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Dim udtCustom() As CUSTOM_EXPORT
udtCustom(1).List(0) ="Area Code"
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I face with "Area Code" is not assigned to udtCustom(1).List(0) ,
Object Reference not set to an instance of an object.
pls solve my problem,

Meenge,
What Michael has been saying is:
Dim udtCustom() As CUSTOM_EXPORT '<< executing this lines does not actually create any instances of the array. You must specify a size by putting a number between the (). When you do that, now you can use that instance.
Dim udtCustom(1) As CUSTOM_EXPORT '<< now 0 and 1 (because the array is zero based) instances are available for accessing.
---------
Your other problem is the arrays within you structure. Creating instances of your structure does not create any instances of the arrays within. If you notice, in your original post, the () are empty. So once again the variable is created but equal to nothing or has a length of zero (depending on the type of object). So you have to create the instances for those arrays as well by specifying a size. You can do that either at the point of DIMming your variables or using Redim to allocate after DIMming. Michael has chosen to call a routine within the structure to set those sizes. You can either hardcode the size within the () or call a routine or set them outside the structure ex: ReDim udtCustom(1).List(5)
Hope this helps...
