Ya the buttons are not actual my problem problem is how to search the listbox for the numbers or text as i explained... Try read my question without looking about radio butons.

I have many rows in my dataGrid. The first column is a dataGridBoolColumn or a checkbox.
As I move from row to row checking the checkbox, I get the following error:
The ListManager's position must be equal to rowNum.
Parameter Name: rowNum. Do you want to correct the value?
What is this? What is the ListMAnager? Google answers aren't very clear. Please help!

Hello everyone,
I’m starting on a new project. My major task is to create vb.net application using the existing com component which is created with MFC (I think it is kind of com component created and based on the c code).
I searched a lot of materials from internet and found all the examples are kind of vb.net call the com component created with vb6 (http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dndotnet/html/callcomcomp.asp) and c application call the com component created with c code (http://www.codeproject.com/com/comintro.asp).
Could you tell me is that possible to create vb.net application calling the com component created with MFC (Kind of C code). Do you have an example on how to do it?

A COM component? Same as any other COM-based component. Add a reference to the .DLL. You'll be able to use it just like any other component. It doesn't matter what language it was written in.

I need help in coding a timer control digital clock. Anyone have any suggestions on how to start?
In the form, do I add the text box in design , then switch to code and code the rest? What code should I use? I read somewhere where I could use System.datetime.now which returns the current datetime.
HELP!

1. Place timer on your form which will have 1 second time to execute again.
2. Use System.DateTime.now.ToString("hh:mm:ss") 'in Timer Event this will give time in required format
3. Now its on you how to display .. like place labels,Place Images or place what ever you want.

OK, I am still having some problems with this. I am a beginner and for some reason it's not registering in my head.
So what you are saying is in the Private Sub area, I add the System.datetime.now and where is the time event located?

Goto the forms designer and double click on the timer control. This should take you to the Code window. Look for "Private Sub Timer1_Tick", put your system.DateTime code in there

HI everyone ,
im new here, and i need some codes for a project im working on.
I have already created the database and i connected it to the database, but now what i need is to be able to :
- Retrieve and display a picture , and the speech commentary on the basis:
1) the creation date of the item
2) where the item was taken
3) keywords associated with the picture
The picture must be display in the datagrid , although it'snot a requirement.

You can start by dragging a button onto your form, then change its Text property to "&Save". Double-click the button to open the code editor, then start writing your code to save whatever you need to save. That part really depends on what your trying to save and where, though...

i have just install the VB2005 Express edition, i'm thinking to convert my VB6 program to it, and recently i'm using the ACcess.
Is it possible to convert table in it too? or i have to recreate it again in vb2005?

You can use Access DBs in VB.NET. I'm not sure if there's an automated conversion available.

Access has an Upsizing Wizard to help with this (Tools/Database Utilities/Upsizing Wizard). It's definitely NOT perfect. It's primary use is to migrate the database and as much SQL procedures as possible, but not everything can be converted, especially if you stuff that depends on VBA.
I consider this to be an interrim solution. Your better solution is to recode the database to take advantage of the features SQL Server has and Access lacks. You'll probably also have to record the data layer of the application.

There are 500 pages in .doc file. Every page contains 3 images (Signature,Phtoo and Address) and 1 text field (Roll Number). All the 3 images and 1 text field are at the fixed position. I want to export or save these data in a table i.e. there will be a table with 3 images and 1 text field (Signature, Photo and Address all image field and 1 text field Rollno); so that i can print a specific document using that table.
Please guide me in detail or if u kindly tell me any link about solving this issue.

My VBA code in Access uses MS Forms 2.0 Object Library, specificly GetText(), and works well. But when I turn off the computer and turn it back on again, the VBA code errors at GetText(). With MS Forms 2.0 checked in the reference table, what could be the problem?

Hi,
Anyone know how to get SMS notification once a new message is received??? A notification or messagebox is fine with me as long as there is something pop up to tell the user there is a new SMS...I can send SMS and receive already so basically just left the notification part which leaves me bothering...Hope someone can help me with it...Thanks...

I am looking for suggestions on how to detect if my database is online. I know I want to put a function in place to see if I can poll of DB Server on startup based on the connection-string in my app.config file.
I just am not sure of the right way to do it. Any Suggestions? I just need a general thought processs, I can do the finer grained stuff.
