Hi members,
after completing the edit mode in the datagridview I want to switch to the next cell, but only if the user finishs editing by pressing the ENTER key, not finishing the edit mode by clicking any other cell with the mouse.
"NextCell" means for example right hand cell, or cell below or above the currently edited cell.
My problem is, how to find out, if edit mode has finished by pressing the ENTER key or by clicking any other cell with the mouse.
Any comments pls ?!
regards,
bauer

The CellEnter event should fire when the user enters a new cell, and the CellValidating event for the cell currently being edited fires when the user moves off that cell (provided the control being moved to causes validation). The CellEndEdit is obviously another event to look at for capturing when the cell is done with edit mode.
As far as capturing the 'Enter' key is concerned, I've had problems with capturing command keys via the KeyPress, KeyDown and KeyUp events when the user is in an editable cell. Instead I prefer to override the ProcessCmdKey method and capture keystrokes there when necessary.

paas,
thank you very much for your reply.
Well the events CellEnter, CellValidating ... are know to me. But there is no way to get the information, if the cell is loosing the focus by pressing enter or clicking any other cell with the mouse.
The ProcessCMDKey methode is a good remark, i will check this (and let you know, if this solves my problem).

Hi there !
I need to copy a string from a webpage, somewhere inside all of the text it has, but I need to automate it. and copy it to a file.
Is that possible to do using vbscript ?
Thanks in advance !

|
|
|
|
There's vbscript code to download a webpage here[^] and here[^]. As for extracting the string you want, you'll just have to use some of the various string functions to find what you want.

Hey thanks!
I need a solution to copy a selection of text (quite a simple string actually) and paste it into a file.
The solutions provided deal with a file as a whole.
[It could be done of course by copying the whole .html file and doing some string manipulations to take that data out, I guess right ?]
Simply put, what I am asking is if it is possible to emulate mouse on IE, so I can copy and paste from clipboard to file.

Oh, sorry! I don't guess I read your original post right.

Don't get me wrong, your post did the trick, I am sorry if I am misunderstood !
You actually solved my problem,
What I was saying was if vbs can automate mouse hover, select and copy functions...
Sorry again....

You already have everything you need in a string. Why would you render it as a web page, make a selection in the rendered page, copy it to the clipboard, and then get it back into a string? Just get the part of the string that you need.
Despite everything, the person most likely to be fooling you next is yourself.

This is a complex question, no forum reply is gong to answer it. You basically need to detect shapes and define rules by which you work out what 'equal' means ( i.e. the same sort of shapes, etc ).

Do you mean auto repeat ? Not sure that you can, except that you can ignore key presses that are the same, but what if someone wants to type 'aardvark' ?

You could set the KeyPreview property of the form to True, trap function key presses in the KeyDown event of the form, set a flag to indicate the last function key pressed, and then review the flag the next time KeyDown is triggered to see if that function key was pressed twice in a row. And then, as needed, suppress the key press if you don't want it pressed twice in a row. For example, something like the following in the form's KeyDown event might get you started...
If e.KeyValue = Keys.F4 Then
If mb_Key4Pressed Then
e.SuppressKeyPress = True
Else
mb_Key4Pressed = True
End If
Else
mb_Key4Pressed = False
End If

Please don't spam the whole site before bothering to search the articles. There's tons of info on the site already on this. DirectX is what you use.

Hi,
Have a treeview control and can change the selected node to a (system installed truetype) font like this
trvFonts.SelectedNode.NodeFont = New System.Drawing.Font("Times", ntNodeFontSize)
'FOLLOWING REQUIRED FOR BUG (LARGER TEXT IN NODE WILL CROP WITHOUT THIS)
trvFonts.SelectedNode.Text &= String.Empty
Is there any way (anyone know of a way) that i can use a postcript font (pfb/pfm) from a file (not installed), or even an installed postcript font to use in my treeview or any windows forms control?
Thanks for anyhelp with this
Regards
