I could try that, but I'm not exactly at expert level, and this article wasn't really geared toward PictureBox images... as a matter of fact, I don't think it covers dragging to Explorer to generate files at all.
Does anyone have any experience or knowledge about this specific problem?

You're not going to write a shell extension in VB, you need a real programming language for that (i.e. C++ )

What kind of qualifications do you have for writing such exams? That could be of help in accessing what information you might need.

That's nice and all, but you need more than an academic background. How about REAL industry experience? You cannot really write Microsoft Certification Exams without working with Microsoft. You could try but if you are not a Microsoft partner, I doubt people would want to take your test if it is not certified or okay'ed by Microsoft.

I thnk you mean you want to pass one ? That's easy, the web is full of guides. That's why those exams are worthless.

Hi members,
after completing the edit mode in the datagridview I want to switch to the next cell, but only if the user finishs editing by pressing the ENTER key, not finishing the edit mode by clicking any other cell with the mouse.
"NextCell" means for example right hand cell, or cell below or above the currently edited cell.
My problem is, how to find out, if edit mode has finished by pressing the ENTER key or by clicking any other cell with the mouse.
Any comments pls ?!
regards,
bauer

The CellEnter event should fire when the user enters a new cell, and the CellValidating event for the cell currently being edited fires when the user moves off that cell (provided the control being moved to causes validation). The CellEndEdit is obviously another event to look at for capturing when the cell is done with edit mode.
As far as capturing the 'Enter' key is concerned, I've had problems with capturing command keys via the KeyPress, KeyDown and KeyUp events when the user is in an editable cell. Instead I prefer to override the ProcessCmdKey method and capture keystrokes there when necessary.

paas,
thank you very much for your reply.
Well the events CellEnter, CellValidating ... are know to me. But there is no way to get the information, if the cell is loosing the focus by pressing enter or clicking any other cell with the mouse.
The ProcessCMDKey methode is a good remark, i will check this (and let you know, if this solves my problem).

Hi there !
I need to copy a string from a webpage, somewhere inside all of the text it has, but I need to automate it. and copy it to a file.
Is that possible to do using vbscript ?
Thanks in advance !
|
|
|
|
|
There's vbscript code to download a webpage here[^] and here[^]. As for extracting the string you want, you'll just have to use some of the various string functions to find what you want.

Hey thanks!
I need a solution to copy a selection of text (quite a simple string actually) and paste it into a file.
The solutions provided deal with a file as a whole.
[It could be done of course by copying the whole .html file and doing some string manipulations to take that data out, I guess right ?]
Simply put, what I am asking is if it is possible to emulate mouse on IE, so I can copy and paste from clipboard to file.

Oh, sorry! I don't guess I read your original post right.

Don't get me wrong, your post did the trick, I am sorry if I am misunderstood !
You actually solved my problem,
What I was saying was if vbs can automate mouse hover, select and copy functions...
Sorry again....

You already have everything you need in a string. Why would you render it as a web page, make a selection in the rendered page, copy it to the clipboard, and then get it back into a string? Just get the part of the string that you need.
Despite everything, the person most likely to be fooling you next is yourself.
