It is pretty straightforward. You'll need a user table that stores the login info, and just run a query that has the username and password in the WHERE clause. If the query comes back with 1 row, then the login is successful. This is a very basic approach. You can do other more advanced things such as timestamping the login, forcing user to change their password, etc.

Wow.
Amusingly, if I type these terms into google, I find examples of what I assume you want.

You must have a different google to the one I have access to. The behaviour seems obvious to me, and it seems tied to your data source. Why don't you try posting the code you've tried and explaining what's going wrong with it ?

Maybe you did not check the "Ignore HTML tags in this message (good for code snippets)" box while
pasting it in?
CORRECTION: please don't start a new thread on the same subject. Now there are two threads, both
incomplete.

That is a problem right there.

What line is the error on? This one?
txtUsername.Text = rd("Username") And txtPassword.Text = rd("Password")
Of course that's a problem. That needs separated on two lines. You can't use a Boolean operator on strings.
And please don't post the same question/problem more than once.

If you have these columns, handle the item data bound event to change the color of the column that corresponds to the time that has been set.

Hi!
I have an application that generates a report using VB's Data report. Is there any way to suppress the page footer unless it is the last page? I know I can use the report footer, but the problem with this is that the report footer display right after the detail section ends(so if the detail ends at the middle of the page the Report footer will show in the middle of the page). I don't want to use Crystal Reports since I have to make the report again from scratch. Is there any way to do this? Please help..

Is there some unwritten rule somewheres that people see thinking this is the best approach at getting a question answered?

Well, even if he can't afford one, there is a free thing called google

I think it's sometihng like this
'Oh, no, another task I don't know how to do, I hope my boss doesn't realise'
'Quick, post it on the web'
watch the clock/worry
'no answer yet ? Better ask again !!!!'
repeat

Yep. Like the guy in the math forum who keeps asking for implementations of Excel formulas in C#. Found a Rent-A-Coder gig from back in 2004 doing the same exact thing for $100 USD
Wow, people love reinventing the wheel I guess
Well, the biggest kicker is you can call those Excel functions through the Office Interop Library.

Hi,
this is only part of the relevant code, making it difficult or impossible to help you.
What are your buttons names?
Where are their Click handlers?
What is bs_nonrev?
one button works properly, but what are the other 3 doing? Be specific on the symptoms!
