No translation tool exists, obviously. Writing the code for one is trivial. Entering all those words to be translated, is not, obviously. Have you tried babelfish.yahoo.com if you just have a few words to translate ?

hi all
im new here and i need help
im currently doing my final year school project using software WiT 8.1
and i need to design an interface using Visual Basic.
i need to display the application done by WiT 8.1 on VB interface.
such as display it on the picturebox.
but i couldnt find solution for it.
the one i did so far is that it will have a pop-up window coming out instead of embedded inside the picturebox.
anyone here can help?
the deadline is end of this week.
thanks a lot.

I'm not sure what you're asking. Are you talking about launching an application called "WiT" and hosting it's window inside your form??
|
|
|
|
|
yes.
i need to call out/launch the WIT application in my VB interface.
yes .how to put it in the form?
|
|
|
|
|
Well, you need to launch the external application, using the Process class, then you call it's WaitForInputIdle method so the application has time to start up and show it's main window, then you get it's MainWindowHandle property and pass that to a call to the Win32 API function SetParent[^], along with the window handle of the Panel control you want to host this.
Warning: There may be issues with your hosted application not rendering properly. You also do not have total control over the hosted app, for example, you don't get to control the app's dialog windows and position them where you want.

hi dave thanks for ur suggestions
i tried already
but as what you said i didnt get to control the application dialog window and position them where i want.
it cant just be displayed in my picturebox.haiz.
thanks for your help anyway.

That's the only option you have. If it doesn't work the way you want, the only alterniative you have is to write your own version of the app using an SDK or COM-based library provided by the manufacturer of the app, if one is even available.

Are you talking about a button in your project, or in the IDE ?

What do you mean "old project"?? If you're using VS2005 or above, check to make sure that, in your project Properties, you have "Enable visual styles" turned on.

i have 5 combobox in my form
once i press submit button, the combobox should be disabled.
how to do this??
|
|
|
|

just write "ComboName.enable=false"
For such small things please check properties of the Control you want to use. Name only describes its purpose.

Are you telling us that you own no books on VB.NET and google is broken where you live ?

Didn't you check out CNN? All books on vb.net have been kidnapped and google shutdown at this precise moment. Obviously, this was the only solution left.

What do you mean by 'unused icons' ? By 'window' do you mean 'desktop' ? Do you know anything about computers at all ?

There is no code for this. Windows keeps track of which icons have been used and which ones haven't internally. AFAIKT, there's no API's specifically exposed to determine this.
