Damn - I thought all the working 12 year old girls in the Philippines were spreading AIDS, not writing code ?
How old you are does not matter. If you can't use google, and you can't read a book, then you can't program. I like to help people who want to learn, but I can't begin to imagine how it's possible to spend 'hours' trying to solve this issue. It leads me to believe that the core issue is simply that you have no idea - if anyone helps you, you won't know what to do with it. And, sure enough, there are articles on this site with the code you need. If you don't know what you're doing, pay someone to write this for you, or just download one of the existing free programs that do thing ( like the one I linked to above for you ).

In the middle of all that, I actually helped her. The code is on the web. If she can't understand it, she needs to talk to her teacher. If he doesn't know she's this lost, how can he help her ?

I was not planning on it, to be honest.

well, perhaps you're not ALL like that, but that's the impression I have. Oh, and credit card thieves. I've been warned more than once to never accept a credit card from the Phillipines, and sure enough when I have tried to ( through ebay ), they were stolen.
beginneronly wrote: do you have aids?
Of course not. I've never been to the Philipines, remember ?

Now I believe you really are 12. Before I thought it was just for sympathy.

Double posting and cross posting is considered rude here and one who is here for ages posts comment like these. Somehow I dont seem to understand the rules.

Oh - she replied to you instead of me. Twice. Don't you love people who don't know how to use a threaded forum ? The OP claims to be a 12 year old girl, which has a 5% chance of being true. What's happening around here ? Where have the programmers gone ?

Don't create a new account.
This is the core issue. The code makes no sense to you. So, how would us posting the code, change the fact that you are clueless ? Seriously, without insult, if you don't have a damn clue, if the code you found with google makes no sense to you, then doesn't that mean you need to learn some basics so you can understand the code, instead of just asking for it again ?

I see now that you just changed your name.
So, read the article that I pointed you to, it explains the code. If you still don't get it, then either your teacher hates you, OR you're struggling more than he expected. Why would you spend months googling code you can't understand, and not talk to your teacher ?

I suggest you read the link in my sig. I also suggest that if you're a newbie, that you either talk to your teacher, or if you're teaching yourself, choose simpler tasks to start with. Of course you're not doing paid work, that would make you a thief, right ?

Hey guys, i am currently working on a form that looks like this:
http://img291.imageshack.us/my.php?image=tbs.jpg[^]
When i click on any textboxes under Plan Code, the plan form will pop up.
When i click on a field in lbType, field will appear in my lbCode.
When i click on a field lbCode, i want to be able to insert information into the textboxes.
The problem i have is that i can only get the form to work for the first row of textboxes. My code looks like this -
Private Sub lbcode_selectchanged(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles lbCode.DoubleClick
addNewClientPolicy.TextBox1.Text = Me.lbCode.SelectedItem
addNewClientPolicy.TextBox17.Text = Me.lblText.Text
addNewClientPolicy.TextBox25.Text = Me.lbType.SelectedItem
End Sub
This means that everytime the plan form pops up, it will insert the data into the first row of textboxes (which are 1,17,25).
Is there anyway i can edit the code so that the information inserted into textboxes depends on which plancode textbox i click?
I thought it'd be rather stupid to create 7 plan forms for each textbox
Thanks in advance!

It sounds like you are looking for something like this?
Private Sub txtMyTextbox_Click(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Textbox1.Click, Textbox2.Click, Textbox3.Click
Dim tmp As TextBox = CType(sender, TextBox)
tmp.Text = "New text for the textbox that was clicked"
End Sub
