I was trying out the code given below, taken from a book, but it is not able to show contents of data.txt in the <div> specified.

The file, data.txt exists in the same directory as the file containing the code. Someone please tell me what could be wrong with the script.

Uh, yeah...as I said above, the contents of the file data.txt are not displayed in the div with the id targetDiv. If by "giving error", you mean an error message of some sort, then you should probably go through some html docs first.

when I run this script I got an error like "unknown Object XMLHttpRequetObject" thats because of XMLHttpRequestObject is misspelled to XMLHttpRequetObject.

its easy if you debug scripts on IE.

Oh, thanks but I use konqueror, and now using html validators to debug scripts.

Hi,

I have return a client programe to invoke a method from WEB service, The problem is i am unable to bypass my internet proxy as the SOAP URL is being hit from the code.

Security previlage exception is thrown, Kindly assist in resolving the below error.

i have a imagebutton, when someone clicks on it i want the image to get bigger, (i sorted this code) and open up in a image control can someone give me a clue how to do this? thanks.

Given that this is not the ASP.NET forum, we have no idea what you're using to write your website, as well as not really being sure what you're asking. What sort of 'image control' ?

Just set the image path to a different image on the click event.

Hello!

I've been searching around for information on using asp.net to send an email from an html website, containing the contents of a form among other things. So far all I've found is outdated examples and tutorials that I haven't had any luck with. Unfortunately I don't know asp.net, so can anyone point me in the right direction? I'm at a loss.

What server side web development platform do you have experience with?

Sadly, none. I've been learning as I go, so it's a process of bumbling through each step until I get the result I'm looking for. So far I've only been working in html, xml, and css in terms of web dev. The client I'm doing this for doesn't seem to be using much of anything server-side, so I'm trying to build this functionality from nothing.

Well you might want to look for some decent ASP.NET tutorials. There could be some introductory articles here on CodeProject as well.
