Hi again
You only mentioned "Asp", not the ".net" part - that's why I got it wrong
I tried searching on Google for "chat using asp.net" and got this article as the top one:
http://www.codeproject.com/aspnet/AliAspNetChat.asp[^]
Maybe you can use it?
Kind regards - Jakob

How can I append the values typed into a textbox to a URL? I have pasted a portion of my code below.
I want whatever value that's typed into textfield "ID" to get tacked onto the very end of "yadayad.com/"
How can I do that?
Thanks!

There's one problem. I'm doing this all in HTML/CSS as the whole site has only been built on that.
I'm going to have to check my notes from college, but is there a way to make this work within an HTML page?
I've tried adding an opening and closing script tag in th top half of your code, but that doesn't seem to help.
Thanks.

Hi Rajkamal
It is not possible to install a font on the client that is viewing your webpage.
But I guess it isn't necessary, because I think all you want is to display text or data in a specific font that the client probably doesn't have installed - is that right?
In that case - take a look at Font embedding:
http://www.sean.co.uk/a/webdesign/embedding_fonts_in_webpages.shtm[^]
or
http://www.netmechanic.com/news/vol3/css_no15.htm[^]
Kind regards - Jakob

Hi,
I have a Java Script that is trying to make a check box visible if the user manually changes a field. The event is firing, however the code is not working and I do not see what I did wrong. Take a look and kindly let me know.
<br />
var manualauthcode;<br />
manualauthcode = document.getElementById("cbManualAuthCode");<br />
manualauthcode.style.visibility = "visible";<br />
The document.getElementById is working using alerts to debug, its the manualauthcode.style.visibility = "visible" that is not working.
Thank you,
Glenn

How is it being initially hidden?
----
|
|
|
|
|
Its hidden in the .ASPX body via a Visible="False"

Then it's not rendered to html at all, so there is nothing to show. You have to hide it using css to be able to show it using css.

As Guffa said, there's no control to make visible. Use the .Style collection to modify CSS styles.

|
|
|
|
|
Do you have an example of how to do this?
Thank you,
Glenn

I'm going from memory, but something like: ctrl.Style("visibility") = "hidden"; should do it.
----
|
|
|
|
|
control.style.display = 'none';
this would be correct.
