This is my complete script.
I want to select which video to play using the dropdownlist.
at the moment I can only play one video which I have to add to the script. but I want the views to select which video they want to watch.
Please HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Player.uiMode = "none";
//btnPause.enable = true;
//btnStop.disabled = true;
Player.URL = "video/jul162005.wmv";
var g_bPaused = false; // To track pause button state;
// Check for JScript errors.
onerror = ShowError;
// Display JScript errors.
function ShowError (msg,url,linenumber)
{
alert(msg + " at line " + linenumber);
}
// Initialized states.
function Init()
{
Player.uiMode = "none";
//btnPause.enable = true;
//btnStop.disabled = true;
}
// Play a known video file from Media Library.
function PlayVideo ()
{
Player.URL = "video/jul162005.wmv";
}
// Pause the Player.
function PauseMe ()
{
if( g_bPaused == true )
{
Player.controls.play();
g_bPaused = false;
//btnPause.value = " Pause ";
}
else
{
Player.controls.pause();
g_bPaused = true;
//btnPause.value = "Resume";
}
}
// Stop the Player.
function StopMe ()
{
Player.controls.stop();
}

You basically need a dropdownlist to store the list of the video files:
<select name="movie_selection" id="select1" onchange="PlayVideo();">
<option value="video/1.wmv" selected>Video 1</option>
<option value="video/2.wmv">Video 2</option>
<option value="video/3.wmv">Video 3</option>
</select> In the event handler of the onchange event, you code looks something like:
function PlayVideo()
{
var selectedIndex = document.Form1.movie_selection.selectedIndex;
var filename = document.Form1.movie_selection.options[selectedIndex].value;
var player = window.document.getElementById("objWMP");
player.FileName = filename;
}

Hi,
I have a asp:checkbox in DataGrid. I attached an event OnCheckedChanged on the checkbox say..
<asp:CheckBox ID="chkSelect" OnCheckedChanged="dgProjects_CheckedChanged" Runat=server></asp:CheckBox>
And the event is scripted as :
<script language=C# runat=server>
public void dgProjects_CheckedChanged(Object sender ,System.EventArgs e)
{
CheckBox chkTemp = (CheckBox)sender;
DataGridItem dgi;
dgi = (DataGridItem)chkTemp.Parent.Parent;
if (chkTemp.Checked==true)
{
dgi.BackColor = dgProjects.SelectedItemStyle.BackColor;
dgi.ForeColor = dgProjects.SelectedItemStyle.ForeColor;
}
else
{
dgi.BackColor = dgProjects.ItemStyle.BackColor;
dgi.ForeColor = dgProjects.ItemStyle.ForeColor ;
}
}
But the event doesnt fire...
what do I need to do? Is there anything to add up???
Thanks

Can't be done. The best you can do is hide as much of it in a COM object as possible ( your app surely is not ALL vbscript ? )

Is there a web service where I could get current mortgage rate information. The numbers are what I'm after, not the links or scripts.

Hi,
I've an ActiveX control (.OCX) written in VC++ 6.0.
I am trying to use this control in C# Web Service - but everytime I invoke any of ActiveX method the service fails.
I wrote another small Windows-Application in C# to test if I can access ActiveX in C#...
Now the only problem is when I try to access ActiveX from C# Web Service.
Any help?
Thanks!

Hi
Try to create Introp for the OCx by using the C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003\SDK\v1.1\Bin\Aximp.exe.Then try with the new dll created by this tool.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply
When we add reference to an ActiveX (.ocx) Doesn't it automatically create the .DLL?
I was wondering if creating it manually is different?
Thanks again!

HI, I'm beginner about Window programming
I'd like to develop a small dll that has a function.
There is one text(txt file) loaded on IE.
The txt contains just a words like "Hello!!".
I've made that the "Hello!!" has focus of cursor.
I mean If I move cursor on "Hello!!"
then arrow-shaped cursor would be changed to hand-shape on a web page.
Now, If I click the "Hello!!",
the programe opens new dialog that has a static text.
The static text shows me "Hello!!".
That's all. How can I make this?
any reply, any URL contains some reference about this, offer me please.

How can i close the window explorer from button?
|
|
|
|
|
Do you want to close a running instance of Windows Explorer on the client's desktop from a button in Internet Explorer? Only way to do that is to make an ActiveX control and embed it in your HTML document (and even then I am not 100% sure you can fiddle with what apps are running on the client's machine.)
If all you want to do though is close Internet Explorer from a button in your web-page then window.close(); does the trick.

you may use this code
Response.Write(" { self.close() }")
on a command_click event

Hi:
If you had meant
(*)Internet Explorer:
You can use JavaScript self.close() to close the browser window. However, only windows that you open can be closed. Otherwise, it will trigger a warning and a confirmation message from the user itself.
(*)Windows Explorer:
You may need to use an ActiveX Control. However, only running instances may be accessed. I am not sure whether the process itself can be closed and you may run into SecurityExceptions too.

Our center developes web applications in ColdFusion and VB.NET. We need to have logins for security and roles. We don't know how to communicate between ColdFusion applications and VB.NET applications so that a single login will work, moving from one application to another. Is there a way to pass Session variable information between them? We don't want to use cookies because they may be turned off.

Hi,
IIS is not included in XPHome. But you can make a series of changes in some of your system files and can install IIS.
Search on google, there r many links for it. I did the same thing for my laptop. I copied IIS dll from windows 2000 server, then had to make some changes in system files. ( I dont remember that)...But there r quite a number of links on net.
But keep the copies of the original system files so in case u need to revert back.
Thanks
