In my opinion however, you won't really gain anything from learning ASP first. ASP and ASP.NET are very different animals.

This is just plain dumb. ASP was not designed in any way. Learning it will not help you in any way. In fact, you access cookies, the query string, and so on exactly the same way in ASP and ASP.NET.
ASP is a nightmare, all it will teach you is bad habits which will corrupt your attempts to learn ASP.NET.

Try these online tutorials. For starter this should be enough:

Let me know if you are looking for some advanced topics in ASP.

... supports 128 bit encryption? Say, you need to do this in your own ISAPI Filter dll?
Any link, sample code, or hint is appreciated. Thanks.

I'm afraid that there's almost no way to detect it directly. It's by default a version dependent features. For example, IE 6 on Windows XP SP2 and IE 7 now allow you to specify 128-bit strong encryption for use outside US. Previous versions of IE such as IE 5.0 and IE 5.5, can't use strong encryption outside US. They're only allowed to use weaker encryption than 128-bit.
This is the link to MS KB about 128bit encryption on IE:

Thanks. I was able to solve this problem by querying server variable "HTTPS_KEYSIZE" within my own ISAPI Filter.

hello prachishah!
Though you didnot specify your platform, plz find below my suggestion:-
Use target property of link in navigation frame and set another frame's name as a target of link.
I think it will solve your purpose
Any systematic work reflects its significance for a long time. So let's discuss the best...

I created 2 textboxes, A, and B, for example. And what I want is whenever I type the dot (.) character (like 192.168...), the focus will automatically jump from textbox A to B.
I wrote a piece of code:
<br />
function ipJump(textbox)<br />
{<br />
var KeyID = (window.event) ? event.keyCode : e.keyCode; <br />
if(KeyID==190)<br />
{<br />
if(textbox.name=="txtA")<br />
{<br />
document.getElementById("txtB").focus();<br />
........<br />
This code obviously works, except the character dot (.) I just typed unexpectedly appears inside the textbox B.
How to make it jumps from A to B without filling anything?

return false from the method.

document.getElementById("txtB").focus();
e.keyCode = 0;

you can replace the text inside the first textbox when the user clicks the dot. delete(replace text) the last character then jump to the next textbox.

i am developing a website which is basically database oriented. On homepage I am having a frame which display asp page. i use to run my asp pages individually on localhost writing url:localhost\\myfolder\my.asp
so when i try to frame my page i can not be able to see its contents in the frame.please suggest me how can i display the asp page in my html homepage's frame.

make shure that the path is given as http://servername/folder/page or
/folder/page so that the page is properly loaded ...
This has to be given in the source field of the frame tag that you are using on the home page.
hope this will solve your problem..
