Christian,
Go easy on me... I'm not a programmer in any sense. I'm just a guy that wants to send some text to a form on my website. I don't know how to go about writing server code to enable the form to receive data or even in which language to write it in.
is there some drop in code/snippet on the web that would enable a form to recieve text from an external source, where I can simply change the form/text area name or references? I can't be the only person that has ever required something so basic as this.
sorry if I have offended anyone.

Why are you using VBScript ? Why not just chop your arms off and be done with it ?

Your question is really not clear, tho i'll try to answer.
First of all, if you want to upload content via a webpage, use the Asp:FileUploader control. On the post back, you can use the FileUploader.Save method to save the file to the server.
Then, on a second page, you will have to use System.IO to get all the files in a directory, and print the list as the webpage output.

You need to post in the appropriate forum. This forum is for web development, and what does your inquiry have to do with it?

This may be a very big undertaking for a student, not sure what level you are, but your instructor should be the one providing you with assistance in this.

Hi guys,
I'm looking for ideas for how to get a ¬ character used in a Javascript function call. We're currently using it as a delimiter in a JSON string, which is fine under an EN-gb language.
However, one of our en-IE clients has the problem that when the js file is loaded into IE7, the ¬ gets replaced with a ?. In the file, we split our JSON string using s.replace (/¬/g, '\n\r') , it gets swapped out in the file for /?/, causing an Unexpected Quantifier error.
For a variety of reasons, it would be really tricky to simply use a different delimiter (which is why we don't use a more normal | or , in the first place!), so I'm after any ideas as to how to "force" it through.
Setting the client browser to EN-gb doesn't do the job, is there perhaps a server setting that I need to be looking at? Additionally, the when viewed using alert(), the ¬ characters are correctly displayed...
C# has already designed away most of the tedium of C++.

hello..
im currently designing a personal site and i made a feedback page that has the following code:
<FORM ACTION="" METHOD="POST">
Your Name: <INPUT TYPE="text" NAME="Name">
Your Email: <INPUT TYPE="text" NAME="Email">
Your Comments: <TEXTAREA NAME="comments"></TEXTAREA>
<INPUT TYPE="SUBMIT" NAME="submit" VALUE="Send feedback">
</FORM>
My question is: Is there any way to send all these form fields to my personal e-mail (xxx@hotmail.com) using javascript or any other scripting language????

Hi,
eh sorry, but isn't it a bit complicated to send an email to you? You are using an ASP application, so why don't you use the values stored within the fields on your server. There you could send a mail to yourself if you like...
But if you still want to use javascript, have a look here: http://www.javascript-coder.com/javascript-form/javascript-email-form.phtml[^]

You can send email in vb script by making cdo object. There are many articles on cdo object on web.

Hi,
This can be accomplished by using BeginRequest and EndRequest methods
of PageRequestManager during asyncpostback.
Sample:
<script language="javascript" type="text/javascript">
<!--
var prm = Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManager.getInstance();
prm.add_initializeRequest(InitializeRequest);
prm.add_endRequest(EndRequest);
var postBackElement;
function InitializeRequest(sender, args) {
postBackElement = args.get_postBackElement();
}
function EndRequest(sender, args) {
if (postBackElement.id == 'cmdUpdate') {
displayWindow();
}
}
</script>
Hope this would be useful. Please revert back on any queries.
Thanks,
Rajdev KR

Hi
I am curently developing an client side application that is comsuming a web service method using WSE 2.0. The <to> header is different from the http request url because there is a security device between the client and server that changes the <to> header by appending some random string based on the session. Previoulsly this was working because the web server was not using WSE 2.0.
Is there any way that this can be disabled on the server?
Thank you

Hi...
I am developing a website, which Contains Around 15 webpages. In Each page (Using MasterPage), it's having top menu (Not ASP.Net Menu Control, Only Html Anchor tags), left menu, and Right Menu. All menu items r Anchor Tags, not ASP.Net Menu Control. Right Side Menu Contents will be Changed Accoring to Page by Page. Right Now what I am Doing is,Right Menu Contents r In an ASP:ContentPlaceHolder. and Whenever Right Menu has to changed, On a Particular page, I am Overriding the MasterPage ASP:ContentPlaceHolder with Page's Design. it's working Fine.
But is this can be achieved, in any other way...
please give ur suggestions.......
Hope u people will help me..
