Hi All,
Is there any possibilities to have sql server on one IP which is not public due to security reasons and Report Server Web service on another IP which is public to access the deployed reports on SSRS.
If it is possible please let me know the process of hosting Report Server Web service on public IP which can acces data from sql server database which is on another IP (Private).
Please help me regarding this.

Hi,
My company has an App server which has the following configuration,
Java Version - 1.6.0_21
Java SE Runtime Env - build 1.6.0_21 - b07
Operating System - Windows Server 2008 R2 EnterPrise
RAM - 8 GB
System Type - 64 bit
WebSpehere MQ Queue manager version - 7.1.300.10230
I am calling an batch file from my WCF service (On the same server). This batch file will call some jar files(On the same server). These jar files uses the IBM's MQ to communicate to Mainframe via crossplex.
The problem is that total time taken by executing the jar files is huge.
We have an old app server which was having Java 1.5 and MQ 6.0 and it's response time was much faster than our new app server though new server is having high configuration.
I read on IBM website as well but did not get much. I think, it can be an compatibility issue between OS and MQ, or between java and MQ. I am not sure. PLease reply me if anyone has faced the similer problem.

I want to change my provider..
I'm on Webhost4life.com for $9 / month and I'm trying to delete comment on my blog (using BlogEngine1.6, maybe this is the choke point? or the SqlServerDB?) Anyway this is just too damn slow!
10 minutes to delete 25 post and it's not completed yet! What's going on?
(curiously, and thanfully, displaying page is working snappily at the same time, how strange...)
I want to migrate to another provider? any tips?
I found this one which seems kind of interesting, I might go for the business plan... what do you think?

[EDIT]
Well.. in the end going with those guys:
https://www.arvixe.com/[^]
They seem good!

I use DiisocuntAsp.Net[^] and SoftSys[^] though I shall be moving completely to SoftSys in the near future (cheaper and service is just as reliable).

I also use DiscountASP.Net, and think they are one of the better hosting providers. The only thing I don't like is that they charge an extra $10/month for SQL Server. I've been thinking of trying out WinHost.com[^]. From what I hear, they use the same data center as DiscountASP.Net.

[Moved to the Hosting forum]
Have you looked at ServerBeach[^]?
I've tried WEbHost4Life and found them painfully slow. ServerBeach is run by Peer1[^] (our hosters) and have consistently been at (or near) the top of the customer satisfaction.

Indeed Webhost4life is painfully slow... :-/
Thanks again Chris!

I use Rackspace and have to say it's by far the best hosting I've had so far. I too used WebHost4Life for a number of years, but their database servers were too painfully slow. GoDaddy was horrific (albeit that was a number of years ago now). For awhile I moved everything to PowerDNN (even though the sites I'm hosting aren't DNN) because they could make DNN sites fly. My sites were nice and fast there, but the bang for buck just wasn't great. Rackspace Cloud Sites is really, really good. Very configureable and I can even give my clients a 1-800 number for 24/7 support for things like email, website down etc.
The only downside is cost. The cost is good for me, but I use it to host a bunch of sites. If it's just for one, the monthly cost will be too high.
Cheers,
Drew.

Hi,
I'm looking at hosting solutions too - and these guys look ok on the site - are you still happy with them? Any issues?
I'm needing SQL Server Db plus ASPX - are you using SQL Server?
When they say 'unlimited' - do they mean that?
Cheers

Yes, I'm happy with them.
Sorry for the late reply, I am in the middle of a big inter-state move!

Please tell me how to setup own servers to host websites.
What are the advantages, Risks, issues involved?
When we should go for own servers?
Thank you.

One of the key considerations for me would be to ensure that you have enough bandwidth available if you are not hosting the servers at an ISP.
Another option to consider is security, especially firewalling.
The above issues is however also applicable even when hosting at an ISP.

Hi,
I'm using CDO to send mail via my ASP application. My client has reported that whenever they try to access the application within their internal network, they don't receive any mail that they send via the application but it they access it outside their network, they get the mail.
Can anyone please advise me on this?
Thanks
Cheers

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could help me. We have a number of websites running on our server and the IIS process was causing high CPU. To narrow this down we put each website in to its own app_pool to help identify the website. We now know which website is causing the problem however we don't know what part of the site is causing it. This could be down to the coding etc.
Is there any tool I could run/install to help identify the code or area of the site causing the problem?
Any help would be much appreciated. As a temp fix we are recycling the app_pool every couple of hours to keep it down.
Many thanks

Well, I think you're getting closer, but this forum is about hosting services; companies that will host your website, and servers that will run your website.
What you want is probably the "Web Development" forum, or maybe the ASP.Net forum if that's what you're using.

Use the traacing for identified website and see, which chunk of code is taking more time, if it is anyway related to a bad code.
