You seemed to have missed the concept of this site.
The usual modus operandi on CP is that somebody who has an issue with something programming related, posts a message describing the problem in detail and what they already tried and so on. The CP members then try to assist the poster to resolve the issue.
Declaring you know something about javascript and google maps and bing is neither helpful nor interesting.
If you think you know enough about that topic write an article and publish[^] it here on CP.
Regards,
Manfred

ok Manfred. I didn't mean that what you thought but anyways thanks for the suggestion.I will surely look upon that

I haven't yet written any aritcles here on CP, but I did have two alternates to existing tips.
If the material isn't enough to warrant an article you can post a tip instead.
Cheers!

Plese tell me how to get url parameters in next page?
|
|
|
|

How can you get the parameters if it is the next page? you haven't been to it yet, it is the next one
Maybe need to reword your question to remove the ambiguity.....

Actually, the OP wants them in jQuery, not in .Net.

Hey I'm pretty new to jquery to but im pretty sure you can plull the url by calling window.location.pathname
|
|
|
|
|
also if you want to re-direct say window.location = "www.google.com" or wherever you want to go
|
|
|
|
|
As pointed out, you can't get it in the next page because you haven't been there yet. However, you can do the following:
function getURLParameter(name) {
var match = RegExp('[?&]' + name + '=([^&]*)').exec(window.location.search);
return match && decodeURIComponent(match[1].replace(/\+/g, ' '));
}

I am Yograj,
I am using Grid View control and text box using item template. On lost focus of text box or at the time of typing amount in text box, I have to call a function "ShowCalculate()" so that I can display the result in column next to the text box in Grid. I want to do all this on Client side using JavaScript or JQuery. I dont want to use AutoPostback = True.
How can i perform this task?

Add the attribute onchange to the textbox and set its value to a JS function, such as "DoCalculation();".

HI,williamroma
First, from looking at your code i noticed that you use the pre tag. In order for a script to be executed it must be enclosed in tags.
Second, Javascript is case sensitive so the method getElementbyID will work only if it is written getElementById.
Third, += works welll for numbers, but for string you need something like string1=string1+string2.
Forth, all kinds of input work when they are placed inside a form tag, and for buttons you need to specify what happens when you click them using something like onclick.
heres a refined version of your code which worked for me:
<script language="Javascript">
var num=1;
function on(){
var div = document.getElementById('frm1');
div.innerHTML=div.innerHTML + "<input type='text' id='in'+num />";
}

hi,
I have tested the code in chrome, opera and IE 8,9.
seems to be working fine, except that in ie you need to enable activeX objects to make it work properly. Iv have done a little tinkering with it and here is the new version.
just copy it in ahtml file and give it a go!
var num=1;
function on(){
var div = document.getElementById('frm1');
div.innerHTML=div.innerHTML + "<input type='text' id='in'+num />";
num=num+1;
}
Best regards!

You cannot do that, and why would you want to.
