hi....
here i have create a runtime link button.
but i can't get it's click event fired.
----------------------------------------
LinkButton lnk = new LinkButton();
lnk.Text = row1["FileName"].ToString();
lnk.ID = row1["FileName"].ToString();
lnk.Visible = true;
lnk.Click += new System.EventHandler(this.LinkButton_Click);
this.tdFile.Controls.Add(lnk);
here is the click event of link button which is not fired.......
protected void LinkButton_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
//OnClick Event Handler for linkbutton
}

You need to add the button before the page load event if you want viewstate to be restored.

My question is related to ASP classic, not ASP.Net, my question is -- whether it is good code to judge that, if a session variable is "" (Empty String), then I treat session as expired? Like this,

When session expires every session object will be set to "null" .Please compare with null instead of empty string. If you want to compare with empty string then convert session variable into string format.

I am having some RequirefFieldValidators on the page and also a modal popup extender.
There is also button on the page.
Since,I have set the TargetControlId of modal popup to the button's id,it is doing validation and showing the popup at the same time.
I want that on the click of the button,it should first check the validations and only after validating, it should show the modal popup.But this whole thing is to be done on client side only.Can anybody please give some suggestions regarding this.

I found the problem.Compatibility issues with visual studio 2008 and visual studio 2005.It works in 2005.

What I want to do now is, start a win process (.exe) on the same machine through the ASP site. What's the best way to that.
I think of this simple start a process using System.Diagnostics.ProcessStartInfo. Is that safe, what your thoughts of that.

Does your process will start for single time or it will execute based on user request?

Yes, you can Execute Process on your Server using System.Diagnostics.Process.

That depends on your requirements. Which process to start? How many times will it execute?
You should also need to give the Permission to execute the file. It will working fine from VS, but while you deploy it on Web server you need to give the permission.

Actually process start on user request. There is a check box in one of my ASP page. Once user check it process is started, and on un-check process want to kill.
I've try the way I say in my first post, after hosting the site. Process is started, but under NETWORK SERVICE user name. And also I cannot see the window as well. (I just run the command prompt, a simple server application).
But if I test on VS, locally in it works fine. I can see the application window and so on.
What should I do to solve that?

You can't drawn any sort of lines, not without SVG. You can create lines with css, but they have to be square.

Hi,
We are a small company. We are working on social networking site. In this i have the functionality to show the advertisement on the site. I'm new to this domain. I have the following questions.
1) How to pull the ads and show to the site based on the user viewing content?
2) How to keep track the user impression on the ads?
3) Is there any other third party tools available? I have gone through the Google Ad Sense. Still looking for some other aspects.
Any reference link or ideas are welcome.
