sometimes if your project is big enough then you are going to run into a warning that just isn't valid for that function. Especially if you are going in behind someone else's code. I appreciate the effort though.
I actually found the syntax after half a day of trying code and looking. According to one blog this is the syntax. compilerOptions="/nowarn:42105". But it doesn't seem to be suppressing the warnings..
If someone "who has actually" put this in the web.config file has any insight it would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,
First of all, I hope people won't eat me for asking this, but the fact is I'm kind of stuck on it.
I have a problem displaying my .aspx file in any other browser except Internet Explorer.
When I try to use lets say FireFox/Google Chrome or what ever other browser, it automatically starts
to download my .aspx file. Now the thing is, I can't understand what I'm doing wrong or what have I
missed out.
1) It all works when I test it with "Build+Run"
2) It displays in IE
I've read something about IIS but.. I don't get it, how should I use it.
Maybe someone kind enough would enlighten me on this matter.

So are you saying that it doesn't run on the server, but it does on your local machine?

Indeed, and now I think I understand what the problem is.
Apparently the server doesn't support ASP.NET environment or something. Since thats the only
answer I could come up with.

If this is for your company then you need to get your server guys to set that up if you are doing this on your own here is a website that does webhosting for windows that are probably ready to go. http://order.1and1.com does[^]

I am trying to create my own validator call out. I have a textbox, and when a person forgets to write something in it a RequiredFieldValidator will appear. The RequiredFieldValidator has a background image, and I am trying to get the text into a specific position on the image but it turns out that I am unable to use controlchars within the .text or .errormessage of the RequiredFieldValidator. If anyone does not have an Idea how to do this I will just add text to the image in photoshop but I was not looking on doing this with 50 images.

I just found out how to do it.. apparently you can add some html code inside the error message text, and then within the style of that I was able to change the indenting of the paragraph tag. Here is a sample of my code.

I have five dropdownlist in a single page,values for that dropdownlist binded from the database when another dropdownlist selected index change event,it takes more time.

What is the reason behind showing 10,000 records in Dropdown list?
Use some filter criteria to minimize the number of records. You can also use data caching to read data from cache rather than hitting the database every selected index change.

Ya that I can do for you. But my question was why you are loading 10000 records in dropdownlist?

First of all, if you're a beginner, you should learn the language before worrying about third party components ( or even ASP.NET IMO ). Second, you obviously are more than just a beginner, you are completely lost and uninformed. I hope against all sense of reason that you're not doing paid work, because if you are, it is a disgrace.
you can't use a winforms library in ASP.NET. Just like you can't use Ford spare parts in your Toyota. They are not compatible.

Causing you are almost a psychologist, I confirm you : with asp.net 2.0 I am almost a beginner :
I usually work on desktop applications, using Delphi.
Since last september, once in a while I study and work (paid) with Visual web developer 2005/
Visual Studio 2005. I am doing a prototype to see by web, some datas seen by client-server applications.
It is a project of 5 web page. You surely have understood it should be done on economy.
Now I am searching for doing simple plain diagrams (two dimensions) and I thought Zedgraphs was good.
Do you know form where could i begin (for this arguments : plain diagrams).

I would like to set the textbox maxlength property in code based on the field length in the table.
For example: The table field is a varchar(10). I query a record from that table and set the value of that field to a textbox text property. How can I look up the field length in the table and set it equal to the textbox maxlength property?
