i have
a remote dir.
so i have to use : \\server\directory
some time i put \\server\dir
sometimes : \\\\server\\dir
is there something commun or standard for this useage?

Hi,
if your directory is a folder that exists within your server folder,then there is a option for that.
Server.MapPath("FolderName/")
This detects the folder that your searching for.Check this Once

Hi all,
I am new in using ajax.
I going to change pop-ups to modal pop-up using ajaxToolkit:ModalPopupExtender.
In my exisiting application i'm calling aspx page as an pop-up.
As far as I search through net, we need to write pop-up content inside <asp:panel xmlns:asp="#unknown">.
But I don't want to do that. I want to call aspx page only using ajaxToolkit:ModalPopupExtender.
Is this possible. If yes can I get example.
If not any alternative? or can I call aspx page in <asp:panel>
Please help me.

You canot call another page in panel.Instead of that you can use iframe.

put it one iframe inside your panel..and give src your aspx page..

I am developing a webapp and my page is lacking space for listing details,so inorder to save space i have to display data from the db Horizontally instead of vertical alignment.

You can do that very easily
You have to first spilt the data sourse into two equivalent part
and then you can use two gridview or any data control to display
data using two different data source...
I hope this will definetly work..

hey guys
i have this Exception when i try to call web methos in remote biz-talk server
i can work for a few hours\days but this exception start appering when there is alot of work around this biz-talk
i searched the web and found this article

Well as the error message is saying, the result of an OdbcCommand.ExecuteScalar is an object. You have to cast this one to return an int. Have a look here:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.data.odbc.odbccommand.executescalar.aspx
And your myConnGS.Close() will never be executed. Try to improve your design here.

write the following code instead of return mycmdGS.ExecuteScalar()
return (int)mycmdGS.ExecuteScalar();
