Hi I have a problem that, in my database there are several word file are present in a specific table.
And this word files have their id in the table. My requirement is that in a datagrid i have to show those file as a link in a cell.
mean when i click at that link it will automatically open that attached document file.
Any one can provide the exact code for it should be appreciated.

Well, that's actually impossible, even I wanted to do your job for you.
1 - the URL you link to, should contain an id that represents the file in the database
2 - it should open a new page (target="blank")
3 - it should read the file from the database and do a response.binarywrite to send the file, as well as setting the header to say it's a Word file.
4 - obviously this will only work on computers with Word installed

XML is not a database format. You can search XML with XPath, tho, and extract nodes. It sounds to me like you need to read some online tutorials or buy some books, what you're asking cannot be easily explained in a forum response, it's too big a question.

hi
i have one web application in asp.net
after logout if i click on back button of browser . i will inter in my application.
but i want that when i click on back button i will go on logout page.
how it will possible.
it means i want to stop back button.on click of back button my defult form will be display.

By writing a proper membership system ? You should log people out, generally by clearing a session variable. Therefore, if they are logged out, the page should redirect to the login page.

hi,
in logout click event you have to write code for killing the session. and in global.asax page you have to redirect the page to login page if the session["username"]="".
Or write below code in page load
Response.Buffer = True
Response.ExpiresAbsolute = Now().Subtract(New TimeSpan(1, 0, 0, 0))
Response.Expires = 0
Response.CacheControl = "no-cache"

Hello,
I am working with VS 2.0. i written code for dropdownlist filling using icallback event. when i use this event is working for dropdownlist. and in that page i had one button control when i click on button i am getting below error.
Invalid postback or callback argument. Event validation is enabled using <pages enableEventValidation="true"/> in configuration or <%@ Page EnableEventValidation="true" %> in a page. For security purposes, this feature verifies that arguments to postback or callback events originate from the server control that originally rendered them. If the data is valid and expected, use the ClientScriptManager.RegisterForEventValidation method in order to register the postback or callback data for validation.
What may be the reason.

If u just want to show the rssfeed of any website.Several sites provide rss and they are in standard XML format.You can just read that XML and show it on your website in the format you want to show(Using css etc).
