My question is what shall be the query for those students who did not appear in all exams

do I have to spell it out for you, try playing around with the query yourself:
you need to select all fields from student which arent in subject and match the id to them

when i m doing grid view through wizard in asp.net2.0 there is on advanced option.
in it there is a checkbox--"generate insert update delete statements"
I have checked it ,and set it finish .
But thr is option coming enable editing,deleting, etc.
But no option for insertion.WHY?
How can i do the insertion through wizard?

Yes, JS is dependent on browser. Install "Firebug" and debug your JS.

It seems u are using
ClientScript.RegisterStartupScript(Me.GetType(), "MyScript", "tranRight('upload');", True)
method. in this method last parameter represents for A Boolean value indicating whether to add script tags. But u have already add those script tags on your page so pls try this with
ClientScript.RegisterStartupScript(Me.GetType(), "MyScript", "tranRight('upload');", False)
Because most of the time Firefox strictly work with tags and HTML commands but IE not..

Atalasoft have a good OCR library, that is what you need, to buy or write an OCR library. Writing one is a lot of work.

Hi All,
I am inserting (copy and paste Chinese language text) in the textbox and try to insert them in the database ,i have used nvarchar(max) column type in the table it gives me ??????? mark in the table value after insertion of text
when i displayed it on the asp.net page it display ??? mark in the grid .
and when i directly copy this text in the table value it show me the chinese
language why ? it not working ? inspite of i have took unicode type
I want to make multi-lingual site can any body help me

So, you are saying the DB works fine, but your ASP.NET code is broken ? Can we see it ? I assume the insert code is the problem.

when i enter any Chinese language (copy text from MSword and paste it in the textbox) and click submit button on that button i am doing the insert data in the data base but the data which is going to insert is not in the same form which i have entered. Got it ?
