Hi,
In the GridView design mode, there is a small arrow sign, which allows you to perform GridView tasks from there when you do to Edit Columns, and select your CommadField it will list the available Commands under the Selected Fields Section. From there select the “Select” field and click on the “up” arrow, to get the order you want it to appear.

Thanks for your reply but I'm afraid that your suggestion is not what I'm looking for.
I try to generate the commandField dynamically with all 3 commands in 1 field (edit, delete and select). In my case, the edit button always show up first, then the delete and select button.
I just wonder how to change that display order so I can place the select command at the beginning of that commandField.

Hi , I am very new to DotnetNuke , I am exploring myself on creating a simple module in c# in DotnetNuke 4.8.4. I want to display a text Hello that's it . Can anyone explain me step by step.I searched from google but i don't have clear idea.
I know to install a module that should be as Zip file. but i don't know from the Desktop module how to create a new module and finaly t create zip file i.e what r the files needed,
And also I don't know which is the correct to create the new module i.e install version or source or using template?
Currently i am trying using insatll version.
Can anyone help me on this as soon as possible? Please............

to pack a module login with "host" in the host menu choose "module definitions" and find "Create Module Definition" link.fill the fields that's it

I try to export some data fom my textboxes and comboboxes to a define excel sheet
I use this methode but i have an error message when exporting

Ok I have a google map on my page and there is a list of users in a drop down box. Is it possible to call a function ADDMARKER (javascript) to add a marker to the map? I know the listbox will have to postback to get the value.
The thing is, is that I have to use C# to get the users latitude and longitude. Mainly because all the code was written in VB and I have converted it to C#. Not sure how to convert it all to JavaScript.
Here is my function I need to call from javascript:

This should work, I've done exactly the same thing with google maps in ASP.NET/C#. One thing you may want to remember is, when you do a postback, any script you inserted before is lost, and new script is added only if this event is fired.
Overall, it makes sense to make this an AJAX call that adds a marker after getting whatever data you want from the back end. Google maps are so AJAXy that any sort of postback is going to stick out like a sore thumb.

I couldnt get that to work... anyways I found an application here on codeproject that pretty much made google maps all in C# instead of javascript.. works great for now!

Yeah, I think I found that same one, when I considered posting the one I wrote. Of course, it just takes care of generating the javascript for you, but that's what's great about CP, you don't need to reinvent the wheel. I'm glad it worked out for you.

hello
i create a custom workflow in VS2005 and activate its feature in a site collection and
associate its template with a custom list. i choose "start this workflow when a new item
is created" option when i associate workflow template with the custom list.
when i create a new item in my custom list nothing is happen and when i go to my log file
i face with this exception :

Actually this is more of seeking your opinion than seeking your help to have an issue resolved, I've been working on a website for a couple of months and I'm preparing to get it online, I'm planning to have it hosted on a dedicated server, the question is, would you obfuscate your code before deploying it to protect your hardwork? or you'd simply upload it with no obfuscation to avoid all the problems that come with it, e.g. performance decrease, being unable to log exceptions (as the information in the stack trace would be useless in that case) .. etc? What would you do? Thanks for any suggestions ...

You need to consider if theres actually any "valuable IP" in what you are deploying. I'd say that in 99% of applications, especially websites there just nothing unique or reusable being done.
If you are worried that someone might read your code and learn some techniques they couldnt read tutorials elsewhere (and better documented) then you must be doing some quite cool stuff 
Don't bother. We don't even obfuscate our products, its unlikely that anyone is going to be disassembling our code for reuse (and if they did they'd be exposing themselves to some pretty serious legal risk). Fact is that if your competitors need to copy you then they are always going to be behind.
I'm using yFiles (a graph layout library) at the moment. Its obfuscated which is a massive pain in the arse for debugging. You get exceptions being thrown out saying "couldnt cast a.a.b.c to d", not even giving a slight clue what went wrong. Who is going to have the skill and time to dissassemble and reengineer a product that complex, without any trace of its origin, and be able to make it better enough to be able to sell it? Leads me to recommend it only if you need specific features it offers (otherwise go with a cheaper one).

Hello all. This question deals with some ADO.NET, in addition to ASP.NET. I am creating a website in which a user will be able to customize clothing (hats, t shirts, etc.). I will have a database that stores images, colors, etc. as well as customer info. I will need to be able use the fields from my database (color, size, image, etc.) in order to create a product. Can anyone help me out, or point me in the direction of some good resources that may help to shed some light on my problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's easy, you create a "Product" class and fill it with values fetched from database. Alternatively you can use some OR/M tools which does this.
