Currently i m using ASP.NET with C# (.net 2005, 2.0 framework)

The above coding i used to EXPORT data datagrid to excel.
The same i did for TEXTBOX to MS-WORD like.........

But i m getting error "Control 'txterrorbox' of type 'TextBox' must be placed inside a form tag with runat=server."
Note : The textbox is placed inside the form tag and assigned runat=server
how to export the TEXTBOX content to an MS-WORD document?

I doubt that. Note, the error is talking abuot a different textbox to the one you are trying to read from.

Well, I've not seen yuor aspx, so I can only assume the error message is correct. Or, it's a weird error coming from malformed aspx code.

Only one way, by writing javascript that sets off a timer and redirects the page to itself

then that page will refresh in every 30 seconds.

How to implement "thread" concept? And i like to LOCK a integer value or a function, in my program so that this value function should not reflect in database by other users or this function should not use by another person until one person finish is process (First Come First Serve), (since nearly 100 users may access my program). how to implement this... help me.... - KARAN

What do you mean ? You can't use threads in a web app, it makes no sense at all.

If you mean during a single transaction, use transactions. If you want to lock records, then you need to build soemthing into your DB or via the session, to store data before it gets written to the table that it will end up in ( from which, it will propagate to all users )

Is this in ASP.NET ? To redirect that button click to other page, put that inside another form with action as your required page.

Hi All,
In client server application, normally the client talks to the server and gets results.
I want to know how the server can talk back to the client - i know msmq
is one solution - but is there any other solution - how can my server application
can send its latest update to all its client that are connected to it.
say, update the client's user interface from time to time..is there any workaround related code that will keep track of the clients?

You can't do this in web applications. It uses disconnected architecture. A server can only responds to requests it gets. So in web applications, your best bet is to use AJAX. Your page should give periodic requests to server to get the latest updates.

Then according to you ,either one has to use a kind of timer ,so that a request can be ping to server after a certian peroid of time.But in gmail for any other chat based web application,how do server send a response to a client ?
Example:
"A" want to chat to "B",then it "A" send a request to server and then server send response to "B" means server is broadcasting a response to "B" without "B" making a request to server?
Any Idea for that ?

guys i am facing a problem, my session time out is set to 2 hours in web.config, my session mode is out of process, but on live users session becomes null before that, i have been monitoring that throuigh the log, i know that in web.config you have to specify the session time out in minutes, kindly reply ASAP, thankx in advance.
