Hi,
I'm making a wizard in my project using the ASP .net's wizard control. my problem is that at step 3 and 4 I want the user to just click on a link button and he should be taken to the next step. As far as taking him over on the click event is concerned, that's not an issue. but the problem is that I want to turn off the navigation button esp the next button.
How can I do that. Can anyone plz tell me that?

Sorry for not providing the details....
My database looks like this.
SNo Restaurent Items
1 Rest1 Item1
2 Rest1 Item2
3 Rest2 Item1
4 Rest2 Item3
5 Rest2 Item4
6 Rest3 Item2
7 Rest3 Item4
Which means that, Rest1 contains only Item1, Item2
Rest2 contains only Item1, Item3, Item4
Rest3 contains only Item2, Item4
And my report should be like a comparison chart.
Restaurent values on Y-axis and Item values on X-axis and inside the report,if Rest1 is having Item1, then a tick mark should be placed in that particular column .Similarly a tick mark under Item2 but null values for item3 and item4

The way I do it is store the image path in the DB and then just retrieve the path an set it to the asp:image control in the Grid's ItemTemplate column.

Hi while uploading some things i want to use FileUpload:

While uploading the url:
I will get like this text in that:
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\first.doc
Now after fill this i want that doc name
So in my button click event i given like this:

strName = System.IO.Path.GetFileName(fileUpload.PostedFile.FileName)
TextBox1.Text = strName
With out button click event, its want to fill the textbox that strname how to do that plz give me some ideas regarding that...,</input>

Get the ID using the Datakeynames and Query in the other page? or pass the values as querystring.

Are you using AJAX toolkit or your own XMLHTTP code ? If it is tookit, put the drop down inside an update panel

You want to upload an excel file to the server, and then on the server put the details of that file into an Access database ? Will you have strict rules on the format of the Excel file ? If not, how will you know for sure the import will put the data where you want it ?

When I tried to open the security tab in the web site administration tool, I got an error message that Unable to connect to SQL Server database.
I searched in the google and found a solution. That is to create a connection string in web config named "LocalSqlServer" and run aspnet_regsql command in my database. but this will create some additional tables and stored procedures.
I don't feel comfort with this additional connection string and database objects. Is there any other options to configure security?

ASP.NET Security framework needs these tables and Stored Procedures in order to store Membership and profile.So I dont think you can do without them.But what you can do is store them in a different database and just make your Web application point to them.But you will still need a connection string to that database and the other Membership settings...

sure you can, but thats a lot of work.Its easier to just code your own system rather than overriding each table and stored procedure if you know what I mean.

It depends, if you want to let them enter raw HTML, just store it and serve it. If you want to offer templates, then you need an editor and you need an engine to fill the templates with the settings to make the pages.
