Hi,
I am having a datagrid with 3 bound column and two hyperlink column.I need to set the navigateurl of both the hyperlink column dynamically depending on the row in which the user has clicked the hyperlink.
Please give me an idea atleast in which event the code has to be written.

Why don't you set the navigateURL while populating the Datagrid? Any different??

i need to set the url with 3 parameters(Querystring) whose value need to be taken from datasource.
This three parameter value depends on the row in which hyperlink is clicked.
Now my doubt is how should i frame the navigateurl with the Eval() method.

hi.
i am creating a excel sheet ..here i am exporting the total data from Datgrid to excel..it is working fine but if any linkbuttons or hyperlinks(like paging or edit buttons) in the Datagrid ...then it is giving the error..
how can i create the excel

I have used the SlickUpload in my project,But there has a problem Which I can not figure out.
The Problem is I have also used FckEditor Control which has a function that allow me to upload image into the Editor in my project.but the HttpPostedFile was used to upload image by FckEdtitor.Now the HttpPostedFile is conflicting with the Slickupload.How Should I to do with this?
And because the FckEditor use a html page's form to post data to the HttpPostedFile.Can Slickupload get the data too?

I am having a serious issue. I have searched for and tried every solution I could find. This is the error I am currently getting.
e current identity ("Computer Name"\ASPNET) does not have write access to 'C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files'.
ASP .NET actually has full control on this folder. Any suggestions? I also got an error involving the IIS metabase once. I have reinstalled everything and even repaired the .NET Framework 2.0. I then ran ASPNET_REGIIS -i and - ga ASPNET. No go on anything so far. PLEASE HELP!

As long as this is a development machine only you can use "identity impersonate" within your web.config file to let ASP.NET assume an admin role, which should get you around this problem. *** Just be sure to remove this when you want to deploy on public server. ***
If your machine's admin login is
username: abc
password: xyz
add the folowing line within the <system.web> block of the application's web.config file:
<identity impersonate="true" userName="abc" password="xyz" />

i have a webform, with a button and a listbox,
when i click on the button it should run many threads, and when each one finishes its work it should add an item in that listbox indicating that it's finished,
so the problem is that i need to make a thread to add an item in a listbox when it's finished working,
sould i need to refresh the page, or what...???

Well, it depend on how you add.. if you are adding the listitem from Javascript, you wont' need to refresh thage page.. otherwise, you will need....

the problem is i can't refresh the page from other class defined in the page class, i pass the httpcontext to that class, and i have an error message tells me :
cannot redirect the page after the http header has been written, how can i resolve this error

then, just write the code for adding new listitem in normal way.. place the dropdown and button within UpdatePanel...

the page has been posted back and redrawn to the client, now the page is still,
and there're some threads that run behind that page, every one has to put a list item in that listbox after it finishes its work, can i do that without refresh the page,
or are there any other alternatives that i can solve this problem.....

Hey there again,
I've got a List box with multi select enabled, It's got 906 items in it, and if I select the first 3 and the last 3. Then in an On_Button_Click event I scan through it only to find that 0,1,2,878,880,903 are selected when 0,1,2,903,904,905 are the ones I had selected before pressing the button.
I'm not databinding again before the On_Button_Click so I don't know what could be causing it.
Has any one seem this before?

Are you looking at the indexes or at some sort of key value which may be correct ? I've never seen anything like this.

Ok here's the solution...
I had 906 items in the list box, if I selected 903,904,905 it would return 878,880,903. Well aparently it was a shot in the dark that I actually found this because what's actually happening is the List control says,
ok, selected items are -
"Item Name 903" , "23503"
"Item Name 904" , "32633"
"Item Name 905" , "61900"
now when you get to page load an try to see what items are selected in the list box it scans through and returns the first item that matches the Value of the ones that were selected. It doesn't actually record the indexes of the ones that were selected?!!? who knew? seriously
so i found that 878 has the same value as 903, and 880 as 904, and 903 was unique. the issue came up because I have clients that are sorted by regions, well aparently two regions has the same client so there was ClientIDa in texas and another ClientIDa in florida...
so remember folks check for duplicates, even if you think it doesn't matter.

If you're going to show your users 900 items, you should also alphabetise them so folks can navigate the list. Then they would have been next to each other. Or were you saying the 23503, etc were the same ? The whole point of the value is for it to be unique, so that does not surprise me.

the 23503 is just the value, the list is sorted by another value.
text was = (clientname + " - " + divisionName)
so i sorted by division so they could quickly scroll down and find the thingy
thingy is a very technical term

Hi,
I've got a DropDownList that has a list of style sheets that can be used for the site. When ever the drop down changes to a new item, it should create a cookie that stores the selected style which works fine.
The problem is, when ever i set the cookie, the DropDownList.SelectedItem always thinks the first item has been selected, when it hasnt! i can never get it to select any other value, even though there are 3 different options.
Any ideas?
