iam using iframe as design mode =true .so now its working as a text box .now i want the text that was selected in the iframe with mouse hilighted.into a variable string.

I believe this can be done with js on the client. It can't be done to the server, you can instead do it on the client and store the text in a hidden field or something.

do you mean roles for Sql Server accessing or for ASP.NET application.
We can provide roles on both Sql Server for accessing as well as for ASP.NET application.
But ASP.NET application roles cannot become sql server roles.

hi all
I have a window service and i am trying to run it from Web application. when i start the Window Service while running the web Application from the development server. It Works fine no issue comes up, But When i host the web application with iis server the following error comes up.
Cannot open "windowservicename" service on computer '.'.

Sounds like the user your web application is running under is not privileged enough to work with services.
Were you running as a local administrator on your development machine by any chance?

You cannot use window specific controls on web. Still if you need create ActiveX controls/Applets and embedded them into web pages.

in asp.net 2.0 asp server controls like login,create user wizard etc .when we use the server controls by default the datas we entered will be stored in the asp sql server provider .is it possible to save the membership datas into our own database.send the source code for database membership

WHY ? Where do you write this code ? How the event fires ? This will work if both the buttons are attached to same event.

If you have multiple event and use single method base on that event then it will be used.

Here i'm explaining my prob. again. Plz get a bit of time to look over it.......
I have a web page. This page contains a PlaceHolder and this placeholder brings or holds some links created by the admin at runtime. Not when we design the page i mean there is no exact no. of the links to be created by the admin. Let an admin create Four links like Jan,Feb,Mar,Apr.....
Now i want as the client clicks on Jan link then a panel or imageButton should display the image of month Jan and if he/she clicks on Feb link then image of Feb month should display

To which button that event is attached ? This will be fired when the button which is attached to this event gets clicked. Then why you want to find which button is clicked. ?

Do one thing initialze the single event for every button and then in that function check which button selct simple by checking the id
