Hello all... the above one appeared in the following topology:

Localhost web site -> localhost WebService -> QA env web srvice

Now if I do Localhost web site -> localhost WebService only it works
If I do localhost WebService -> QA env web srvice it works Confused | :confused:

Any insights?

Actually I found it...

Instead or running the web service in the middle in the same IIS of the machine I run it through the VS2005 web development server and everything works fine.

Hi in one of my application i am gathering all user information on one
page and provide a print button below it.If user clicked on the button
the form should get print?How can i do this? i am using asp.net 1.1 with
vb.net.

hi,
if i call window.print(); on clicked event of the button then the form get
printed.I don't have to write any extra code to achieve this.

i am using asp dot net and c# dot net.What my problem is that i couldn't clear out the history pages so that though i maintain session and remove session when i click log off, some files are still coming due to it's content saved in history. So is there any way to get out of it????Shall i have to do anything in asp dot ??????????

ASP.NET is a server side scripting. Browser history will be maintained by your browser and saved in your machine. So how an ASP.NET application running on server can clear this. ?

If you don't want your browser to maintain history, you should go for Server.Transfer() for all your redirects. This method is not advice-able since it makes lot of confusion for the user and extra work for you.

Each page should check session is active before doing any process, Do the session check in all pages page_load event. This will prevent user to work on pages after logging off. If you are implementing this method, user may be able to see the page if it is cache, but they won't be able to do any transactions.

Better approach would be creating a common class which does user authentication and authorization.

I am using visual studio 2005 web developer. i am unable to add the ajax script manager over the aspx page. it is giving me error. Did i miss some proceedure before using the scriptmanager in aspx pages????

when i am adding the script manager over the form it is giving the error on the script manager tool saying" Error creating control- scriptmanager " duplicate component name scriptmanager1, components name must be unique

And what did you do to investigate this error ? I mean, the message is quite clear, do you have a scriptmanager on the page already ( you obvioulsy do ) ?

i have already developed the website in asp.net 2.0, now i want to implement ajax over that.

No it doesn't. You can add a reference to the ajax web extensions DLL, and then add ScriptManagers to any ASP.NET website. I am currently going through my sites doing similar.

As CG said, I imagine the OP is putting more than one ScriptManager on the page.
