How To Clear/Reset Controls in Panel

I thought if you deploy the webservice in a public webserver, anyone can use the web service.

Hi,

I am unable to clear TextBoxes in panel. Generally I am using the following code to reset controls in webpage.

private void Reset()
{
foreach (Control control in Page.Controls)
foreach (Control childControl in control.Controls)
{
if (childControl is TextBox)
((TextBox)childControl).Text = string.Empty;

if (childControl is RadioButton)
((RadioButton)childControl).Checked = false;

if (childControl is CheckBox)
((CheckBox)childControl).Checked = false;
}
}

In it i have changed Page.Controls to Panel1.Controls, but its not working.

Please let me know how to reset all controls in Panel.

Maybe if you get the typed string and say .toUpperCase(), or how it is called and set it to the box. But I can´t think of how you can do this in real time.

Add this to the page load:

this.TextBox1.Attributes.Add("onkeyup", "javascript:perform(this)");

to the source of the aspx file add the following code:

function perform(param)
{
var txt = document.getElementById(param.id);
txt.value = txt.value.toUpperCase();

}

thats will work for sure.

Hi,

In my application, I am uploading some files and then clicking on the send button which is actually a link button.Since the files are big in size, it takes some time to upload them .In this case i dont want the user to click on the send button again.
i.e. If the user has clicked the send button then i dont want the user to click the send button again......
How to disable the clicking of the link button if the user had already clicked?

Just onclick event say

button.enabled = false;

and after your work is done you can enable it back again !!

On the click event it i am also doing something else but after that even if i disable it...still i can click it. How to prevent it from clicking?

Hi all

I have a grid view, with editing enabled. I have columns which display a drop down list of options when editing. The bit I can't find info on, is how do I make that drop down list have the current selection selected ?

Doh - it was exactly what I thought it should be, but I didn't try it until I found it with google ( always ask on CP, then you'll find it in no time ), because it didn't come up with intellisense, so I thought I must be wrong.

Hi,

I created a datatable(provided schema). Now i would retrieve some rows from database and store it in a dataset. Now the rows in the dataset should be added to the data table. I have used:

foreach(DataRow dr in DataSet.Tables[0])
{
datatable1.ImportRow(dr);
}

However when iam trying to bind this data table to datagird that is throwing an error: DataBinder.Eval: DataRow property ........

Any ideas are immensely respected.

Gautham,

You don't need to import rows in this case. All you need to do is assign the table:

DataTable dataTable1 = DataSet.Tables[0];

This will work for sure.

However, there would be chances where my datatable might have few rows initially, now the rows from the databse should be added to existing rows of the datatable.

That was the reason i have used import row

If you are using DataSet to get the data from the database you might as well want to make the datasource as:

private void BindData()
{
dataGrid1.DataDource = DataSet.Tables[0];
dataGrid1.DataBind();
}

This way when new rows are added, as soon as the dataset it updated, just call the BindData() method and the grid will refresh.

Hi,

Let me enunciate a bit further that would be useful in identifying my concern.

Now the user, would enter few details on a web page and would click 'Add', the details would be orderno, date, etc etc.

The moment he clicks the add we have to display few details in a grid according to the orderno entered, this order info is being retrieved from the database.

So if the user is clicking add button 10 times 10 records should be displayed in the datagrid and all 10 times i would go the databse and get the order info.

This is the reason i created a datatable and bound it with a datagrid. when ever a new order is being added that info should be added to the datatable and finally show in a datagrid!

}

DataBinder.Eval: 'System.Data.DataRowView' does not contain a property with the name OrderId
