as said in the other reply you can use href and provide the link for the new page, at the same time append the url with the required data you want to send
ex:webform1.aspx?id= value
and to use this value you can use Request.QueryString["id"] in the other page.

You can not work with multiple forms in ASP.NET. You only response to one page request at a time.
If you want to open another web page in a separate window, you either use the target property of the anchor tag:
<a href="AnotherPage.aspx" target="_blank">open</a>
Or you use Javascript:
window.open('AnotherPage.aspx', '_blank');

I am using dropdonnlist to fillup and display from the data base,i have given code fr filling is
dbconn()

and i am inserting the sid as per the sname selected from the dropdown,but the problem is
while displaying like navigation,
the text with the respected sid are not coming into the dropdownlist,only values are coming,
For this i have tried with,
1)slist.selecteditem.value(only sid is coming)
2)slist.selecteditem.text(nothing is coming)
how to get the related sname,here in the database only sid was inserted.

change the above line as
Slist.Items.Add(new ListItem("text field which you want to take",dtr.GetString(2)))

Hi.
I'm trying again since its look like my previous post was misunderstan.
I have page aaa.aspx with an IFRAME that contain page bbb.aspx.
page bbb.aspx sometimes redirect himself to page ccc.aspx.
The problem is that after I loaded the aaa.aspx page I want to know what page do I see in the IFRAME. (bbb or ccc).
What I've tried to do is to run a JS in the onLoad of aaa.aspx that after 5 seconds get the "src" property of the IFRAME but I saw that even if bbb.aspx redirect to ccc.aspx the source is still bbb.aspx.
I know it complex but I really hope you can help me.
Even if you know for sure that it can't be done because of security resones I'll be glad to know.

Actually ur logic is not wrong , but the method is wronge... because u r not triyng to find location of a FRAME, although u r trting to find src of an element...
I belive u r doing something like this...
alert(document.getElementById("SOME_IFRAME_ID")).src;
Don't do that... try this...
alert(document.frames["SOME_IFRAME_NAME"].document.location.href);
Hope this will solve u problem...

Hi blue_arc, Thanks for the replay.
I already got a similar answer BUT (There always a BUT) the problem is that I got a javascript error saying "Access denied".
The other person said it worked fine for him 
Did you try it yourself and know for sure that it work? Are there any other setting need for runing this and bypass the "access denied" error?

Hi all,
I have created a web application using .net framework 1.1. And created a setup deployment. I have deployed it on another server. Now its not working. The .aspx pages are displayed as text files only. Now please any body tell me what are the steps to install a web application, or where did I commit a mistake. Or otherwise what are the minimum requisites to run a deployed web application and steps to load them. Thank you.

You need to install the .NET framework AFTER IIS, or run aspnet_regiis with the -i switch, in order to register IIS to use ASP.NET.

Yes, I installed the .net framework after IIS only. But still it is not. And could you please tell me clearly how should I use this "aspnet_regiis -i" registration at command prompt. Like after this -i what should I use. And at which directory prompt, I should use it.

You need to go to the command prompt, then navigate to the folder:
C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727
assuming c:\windows is your root directory for windows.
Then you type in the command as I gave it, and it will register IIS for you.
