hi to everyone! I have this problem, when I want to bind a data to label, i am going with:
Label1.Databindings.Add("Text", dataset1, "informations.username");
and i get this mistake:System.Web.UI.WebControls.Label' does not contain a definition for 'Databindings'
Any help? Thanks

do you mean something like
GridView.DataKeys[i].Values[i].ToString();
set datakeys as one of the values you want

You just need to stream it by using REsponse.BinaryWrite and setting the contentType appropriately.

Hi,
i have two textboxes to enter the start and end dates. I am using javascript calendar to populate these text boxes. Based on the chosen date values, i need to filter a treeview control.
The problem is, the ontextchanged event of the textbox is not firing, when the date is chosen from the javascript calendar. If you enter the date directly into the textbox, the event is firing.
I need to find out how to fire the ontextchanged event when the date is chosen from the javascript calendar. Please help.

onTextChange fires only in case of editing the textbox by hand
Instead, you can put your code on SelectionChanged event of the calendar

just as a point maybe you should use asp.net calendar control
javascript can be disabled at the client end

I take it the JS calendar is being displayed via a standard onclick event linked to an image or button? If that is the case then simply populate a global variable with the current date (textbox values) prior to displaying the calendar and then add logic after the calendar has closed to call a function thats checks if the date has changed and then filter the treeview accordingly.
Manipulating DOM elements directly through JS does not fire DOM events.

I just want to clarify the situation to make the discussion usefull for others.
The code should look like this:
myDataGrid.Columns[i].HeaderText = myCustomHeader;
where i is column index
Also make sure to call the DataBind() method after the above code NOT before it.

Inside the inner datagrid I have the following items...

What I need to know is how to get the value of the "SystemIDLabel" label so I can pass it to the loadRoleEditors sub as I need to set the drop down lists to previously selected values. The value is displayed when the code is run, but if I uncomment the section in sub childItemDataBound() then I get Null. What I think is happening is the sub is running before the value is inserted into the datagrid.
Anyone know how to get this, or is there another way.
