It is common practice for ISPs to block outgoing SMTP traffic - this may be what is causing your SMTP server to fail to send the messages. Check your ISPs policies.

I have to open a Word Document in an ASP.Net applicatio. However I do not want the client to download or even open the document on the client machine. The document should be opened at the server and the user should be able to Save the document back to the server. Also, I am not sure which version of MsOffice the client will be using.
I am not able to find a way to make this happen. Please help me.

Thanks, Satips for your time,
But I have tried using the Word object provided by .Net earlier. The problem that arose was it opened Word Application and then opened the document I asked for.
Is there some way in which I can open the document within the browser itself? This is because I have to provide some buttons, etc for further processing.
Please tell me if you have a possible solution.
Thanks again

Yeah, set the timeout in your connection string to a longer period of time. Write a more efficient query or add indexes to your tables.

Hi all,
In order to download file i have written this code
Response.Clear();
Response.AppendHeader("Content-Disposition", "attachment; FileName=" + dt.Tables ["Attachment"].Rows[0]["Attachment_Name"].ToString());
Response.BinaryWrite((Byte[])dt.Tables["Attachment"].Rows[0]["Attachment_File"]);
this code works well with SQL server but does nothing with MS Access. is there any alternative of this code is available or how can i make this code usefull for MS Access... Thanx to all
