Hi Ankit,
what do you mean by disable the grid view? by default all the cell are readonly. only the time of editing in grid view all the text box will become editable.
so do you need it at the time of edit of grid view or what ?
please clear .
Thanks !!!!

you can get the control using FindControls() methods.
try to find the control of rows like
textbox t= (textbox)gridviewRow.findControl("txtbox1");
t.Enabled=flase.
kinldy check the syntax . This the way that you can acheive.....
Good luck....
let me know when done
Thanks !!!!

hai,
currently i m using asp.net with c# (.net 2005, 2.0 framework)
here i would like to display the records which is fetched from database (in gridview).
while user update a particular record, the columns which is affected should be shown in a different color in gridview.
how to achieve it?
for example,
consider the below as Columns and values in a table (sql server 2000)
rollno:1
name:codeproject
site:www.codeproject.com
status:famous
and after user updation the above record changed as...
rollno:1
name:codeproject
site:www.codeproject.com
status:too famous
The gridview should display all values and the "too famous" should have a different background (since its updated) (this process will continue for many values)
how to achieve this? - KARAN
Note : the update and gridview are in separate page.

I have set up a virtual directory on ISS 6.0 to store the all .jpg and .swf
files which i use in my project
It is alias name is "OutSrc"
Is it possible to acquire a list of files which exist in that virtual
directory ?
For my default project directory, i can get list of the specific files like
that;
*******************
DirectoryInfo drc = new DirectoryInfo("~/banners");
FileInfo[] FileLst = drc.GetFiles("*.swf");
*******************
But, how about for the virtaul directory, Is there a way to do this?
Thanks,
N/A
|
|
|
|
|
you can use the HttpContext.Current.Server.MapPath("~/banners") to get the physical directory.
|
|
|
|
|
try to find the files from the physical location.

Hi Everyone,
I'm running into a major problem with the combobox created by bestcomy. I also posted a comment on that article but its also very urgent so I thought I would try here as well. I recently had to re-install VS studio 2002 on my laptop and the code that I had to run the combobox created by bestcomy is no longer working. I'm getting this error:
Description: An error occurred during the parsing of a resource required to service this request. Please review the following specific parse error details and modify your source file appropriately.
Parser Error Message: Method LoadPostData in type Bestcomy.Web.UI.WebControls.ComboBox from assembly LoadPostData does not have an implementation.
Source Error:
Line 187: <td class="heading" width=135px>Central Office:</td>
Line 188: <td width=220px>
Line 189: <bestcomy:ComboBox id="ddlCO" runat="server" Width="120px" AutoPostBack="true" ></bestcomy:ComboBox>
Line 190: </td>

Has anyone seen anything like this before? Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

This is still frowned upon. Also, please read the forum guidelines--messages with 'urgent' tend to get avoided.

Hi all,
I have a span server control (runat = server), the content of the control are set initialy to "1:00" which means 1 minute.
I have a javascript that counts down every second and writes the time in the span control, so it writes:
"0:59"
"0:58"
.
.
.
"0:00"
when the time reaches 0:00, I do an automatic postback of the page, but when I read the contents of the span.innerText it reads "1:00", which means that the changes to the "innerText" done by javascript wasn't preserved.
what's the problem? and what's the solution?
Thanks

Why does it matter, if you know it will be 0:00. Oh, you want to know how long the page was viewed, if a postback is done by the user ? Well, you can't trust anyting you send the client, your check should involve a DateTime.NOw stored in session the last time the page was sent down.

Well, my program is more complicated than was described by the program so I need to read the time from the span.
But really having a DataTime in the session will solve the whole problem

I have a very simple javascript requirement that is proving to be problematic. here is the code:
function CleanDate(id)<br />
{<br />
var h = document.getElementById(id).value;<br />
h = h.replace( document.getElementById(id).value = h;<br />
}
seems simple enough, as you can see i want to replace / with -. the problem is, in order to set / as the initial character, it comments out the rest of the line.
even trying to escape it with \/ still comments everything after it. trying to use a vriable doesnt work, because using say t as a variable, with the value of "/", the replace sees t as a string literal rather than a variable. any suggestions?
because of the requirements of the web app, i have to have a mm-dd-yyyy date format.

okay, apparently even though vs2008 has a problem with this:
function CleanDate(id)<br />
{<br />
var h = document.getElementById(id).value;<br />
h = h.replace(/\
<br />
document.getElementById(id).value = h;<br />
}
IE and firefox do not

I have an aspx page divided into different frames(header frame, footer frame, middle left frame, middle frame), each frame contains an aspx page. my header frame contains a search button , when I search I am getting the results in the same frame, but I want to have the results in middle frame. I have given Response.Redirect(_hlpr.HandleRootOperator("~/FullScreen/fs_navigation.aspx") + "?do=srch&pd=" + this.State.PubId + "&text=" + tbSearch.Text); but its displaying the results in the same frame.
Any help please.

gottimukkala wrote: Response.Redirect
This serverside command does not have any control over Frames which is a HTML entity. You need to have a JavaScript to control this redirection. You might try emitting out a Response.Write with window.frames[2].location.href or a similar trick.

Hello experts.
I'm trying to sign an xml message by encrypting one it's tags.
Below you can find the XML node that needs be encrypted and I pasted the technical specifications of the required encryption:
<PmtNotifyRs>
<PrcDt>2008-03-11T16:26:34</PrcDt>
</PmtNotifyRs>
Below are the specifications of the encryption technique:
" The provider uses digital signatures for data integrity, authenticity, and non-repudiation in all sensitive communications.
" The digital signatures are based on the X.509 digital certificate standard.
" The Digital certificate to be used for Signatures is the same certificate that is used for SSL.
" Digital signatures should be generated using the RSA-SHA1 algorithms. The digital signature of a signed message is embedded within the message. Some (or all) the fields within the message may be used when generating the signature.
" The applicable messages must be signed with the use of the own private keys. The receiver will use the sender's public keys to verify these messages. To send a signed message, the sender generates a SHA1 digest and signs it with RSA. The signature is then embedded within the message body.
" De-tached signature mode should be used.
" Base-64 encoding should be applied to convert the signature to ASCII value.
" Sign the data including the tag. (For example: Payment Advice, include the tags <PmtNotifyRs> and </PmtNotifyRs> as part of the data to be signed.)
" The digital signature is stored in PKCS#7 format. PKCS#7 format also stores the signer certificate and certificate chain of certificate authorities that signed the signer certificate. For the signed messages, certificate verification is also taking place during signature verification.
" The <Signature> tag represents the location for storing receiver's Signatures. Each Signature aggregate uses XPath to represent the part of the message which must be signed
