What do you mean by 'authorisation' ? When someone logs in, you'd typically store their user id in the session and then write your pages from a common base that checks for this session value and jumps to the login page if it's missing.

I have a gridview in which there are 5 columns. Each of the columns have item templates in it. I enter the number of rows that i want in the grid and i populate an object with 'n' blank rows and then bind it to the grid.
When i click on one of the rows and click on a delete button outside the grid, i want the row to be deleted.
How can i achieve this ?
|
|
|
|
|
Why does the delete button have to be outside the row ? That just makes it harder to do. I guess you need checkboxes in the grid then, so you can work out on postback which items were selected.

That is true...But it is a business decision..Hence not much of a choice.

How can we add a asp.net textbox dynamically using java script
|
|
|
|
|
You can't, obviously. How can you add a server side control, on the client ? Even if you do it on the server, your viewstate is not going to contain it unless you add it before page load. Your best bet is to have a server hidden control and to store the details of your dynamically added controls in that.

That's right, you need to run SQL to create your DB on the server.

Check the code that's generated already and copy that. I've done this, and I'm sure the code didn't look like that. Just create a button with an event on a form and look at the html.

Hi,
I created a simple graph that will display the Altitude of a unit, but I can not figure out how to change that ugly white background color to something else...
Note, I find that almost every color is configurable except the white background behind the background behind the graph...

Hello
I have a very simple aspx page
Webform1.aspx
The content is :
<%@ Page Language="vb" AutoEventWireup="false" Codebehind="WebForm1.aspx.vb" Inherits="findMe.WebForm1"%>
This form is called by a command like this
http://194.7.96.51/webform1.aspx?imei=807252&rmc=$GPRMC,154729.000,A,5100.5004,N,0054.0390,E,67.37,264.11,011208,,*3E,AUTO
Then the form is calling a compiled dll
What I want to do :
Is find a way to get the incoming url BEFORE the process into the findme.dll (but it can be after too)
So I can make additionnal process on that information but into another Csharp service running on the same server.
Of course I'm doing in on the server side
Is is possible ?
If yes do someone have the patience to show me a little code example from the form in example ?
From my little knowlege, I see two possibilities
1- Insert code into the existing Webform1.aspx
2- Add a dummy WebForm1.aspx and rename the original one ?

Hi, i am using virtual earth.
<asp:content id="Content1" contentplaceholderid="head" runat="Server" xmlns:asp="#unknown">
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://dev.virtualearth.net/mapcontrol/mapcontrol.ashx?v=6.2"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
var map = null;
var tampines1 = new VELatLong(1.3765917840991528,103.94714355468751, 0, VEAltitudeMode. RelativeToGround);
var tampvalue = document.getElementById('TextBox1');
function GetMap()
{
map = new VEMap('myMap');
map.LoadMap(new VELatLong(1.3608034433485081,103.86062622070314),11, VEMapStyle.Road, false);
var tampines = new VEShape(VEShapeType.Pushpin, tampines1);
map.AddShape(tampines);
tampines.SetTitle("Tampines");
tampines.SetDescription(tampvalue.value);
}</script></asp:content>
as u can see in my code "var tampvalue = document.getElementById('TextBox1');"
i am storing a value from a textbox which is extracted from the database.
This is my .cs file for the Page_Load method
protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
CasesDetails detail = CalculateCasesAccess.CountCases();
TextBox1.Text = detail.number.ToString();
}
When the page loaded, it will extract the value from database and store it to textbox1. After that the javascript will get the value and set the description "tampines.SetDescription(tampvalue.value);"
But this method issint working. When i open the page, i can see the value in the textbox but it does not set it in my javascript

As, TextBox1 is a Server Side Control, You can't get Data Directly by GetElementByID.
First of all You need to read ClientID then Try to use the same.
benjamin yap wrote: var tampvalue = document.getElementById('TextBox1');
var TestID="<%=Texbox1.ClientID%>"<br />
tampvalue=document.getElementById(TestID).value;
This will work for you.
