Well, isn't that typical ? If you want to be a programmer one day, you have to learn how to do some basic research.

Could be a swf, but in this case, I think they are doing it with javascript. If you want to work it out, right click and choose 'view source' and look through the page source.

I think two days before i have send you a link for the rolling out images. You can use the same concept for that .

Why did you expect that to happen ? I've never seen a DB appear in the App_Data folder.

I've seen SQL Express databases coming to that folder. If I remember correctly, it was when I used ASP.NET profiles.

I have grid with 4 columns n scrollbar
while scrolling i want to fix first 2 columns.
means i want to frozen that first two columns... how do i frozen the gridview columns??
|
|

I'm not sure you can do that with a gridview, because to do it at all, you need to create a fixed size DIV with scrollbars for the other columns. You may need a repeater for that level of control.

Hi Everybody,
I'm using VS.Net 2005.In my page i've a gridview,I'm binding some data to to gridview, in this grid i've a invisible column.on mouse click on that row i want to open a new window with showing the value of invisible column.
I don't to pass the value with the query string and don't want to use session variables.
Thanks in advance.

Best option was, store the GridRow value to a session variable and display it in next page. But you do not want session to use. Why ?
Then you can read those invisible column directly from you datasource and display it into Grid.

Confused with a cookie and session?
Sessions don't have size limit.

Then i think you can acess from database directly

Size of session data depends on Memory of server. This can cause of performa nce if the size of data is too heavy and number of users is very large,. but for 4k I don't think so.
Now its depends on you !!!

If the row is data bound, the typical way to do this, is to pass an id on the URL and have the popup request the data again from the database.

I don't want to hit the database again

Then your options are limited to prayer. You either hit the DB, pass it on the URL, or shove it in the session. What else is there ?

I have implimented the login controls on my ASP.NET site but I am having an issue. I have setup roles to block users from accessing a page in the Secure_Pages folder.
If you are not logged in and in the correct role, the site redirects to default.aspx. The problem is that even if you login with the correct credentials it keeps on redirecting you to the login page. Can someone please tell me what am I doing wrong??
Thank you!

I have found the problem.
I have created 3 rules for the Secure_Pages folder, ALL(Deny) - ADMINISTRATORS(Allow) and INTERNET_USERS(Allow)
I moved the ALL rule to the bottom and everything works fine now.
Thank you!!

Your code is broken. Hard to say much else, based on this.

It seemes there are some problems on your implementation logic. As Brij suggest, it would be better if you put those line of code that would be helpful for us to answer.

Most people lock records when one person starts to edit, there's no simple solution to marking records so that two people can easily edit them at the same time.
