You can write like this:
XXXX.Attributes.Add("onkeydown", "if(event.which || event.keyCode){if ((event.which == 13) || (event.keyCode == 13)) {do create event; return false;}} else {return true}; ");

Hello all ,
I'm new in creating web service specially WCF web service.

Thanx in advance

When you use a WCF service from ASP.NET, under default settings it uses SOAP protocol for communication. This is no different from what web-services are using. But the advantage is WCF is highly customizable and you can switch the way communication should happen quickly. For example, one day you may need to use JSON format, converting to that won't be a big change.
For thick client applications, it also supports TCP binding.Best wishes,

thanx for your help
but could we change the format (eg. JSON) in basic web service too?
I mean what is the need of WCF service then?
|
|

I am not sure. I think you can't change the protocol that web-service uses. For WCF, this[^] MSDN article should get you started. Best wishes,

Hi
I have an Accordion control in my page and in that Accordion control i have around 22 AccordionPanel. In each panel i have several ASP.NEt controls like radiobutton list, textboxes and so on.
At the end of the page I have a submit button, On submit i would like to check that the radiobuttonlist in each of the accordionpanel is selected. If not it should display a message. I would like to do a client side validation. I am trying to use custom validator but it doesnt work.
Please guide me how to do it?
Thanks,

Are you getting any particular error ?

well i almost solved it but now having another issue.
if (Page_ClientValidate() ==false) {
//alert('Pottey');
alert(Page_ClientValidate('First'));
if (Page_ClientValidate('First')==true)
{
accordianControl.set_SelectedIndex(0);
alert('Student Household Size is not verified.');
return false;
}
if (Page_ClientValidate('Second') == false) {
accordianControl.set_SelectedIndex(1);
alert('Student Number of College is not verified.');
return false;
}
so on Page_ClientValidate('First') it always gives true. By the way First and Second are my validationgroup of ASP.NET radiolist control
Any help?

Dear All,
I had placed a Placeholder control in my .aspx page and adding button controls into it dynamically from data base based on user and assigning click event to that control but after performing the button click the controls inside the Place holder were not displaying.Plz provide the necessary.
*************
foreach (IAmDealActionMappings obj in AMFacade.GetDealActionMapping("RMC", "NEW"))
{
Button B=new Button();
B.ID = obj.ActionId.ToString();
B.Text = obj.ActionDisplayCode.ToString();
B.CssClass = "button";
B.EnableViewState = true;
if (obj.ActionDisplayCode.Trim().ToString() == "Save")
B.Click += new EventHandler(SaveButton_Click);
buttonPlaceHolder.Controls.Add(B);
}
protected void SaveButton_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
}

If you are creating any dynamic control on/after Page_Load, they will not be maintain the view state. You need to create all the control before page load. As View_State and Post_Back Data, load before page load. You can create your dynamic control in Page_Preinit Event.

Essentially a disguised ad.
The site looks like it was built in 1985. Did you bother to look at any modern sites to see what they look like and try to emulate them? I could go on but best I don't. Go hire a proper web designer.Tychotics: take us back to the moon

Giving a thanks and showing what i did with their help to the peoples who helped doesn't mean an ad.
It depends on the way you take.

For learning purpose, fine. But if you are thinking to use it professionally, it would need a lot of changes. Browsing through the websites which offer similar services should probably give an idea. You can also consider an idea of speaking with the professional web designer.
