i used these things

Denial of service attack ... [modified]

My site had a denial of service attack that was flooding server with requests. The attack was obviated by black listing the ip address. Now sometime when connecting to database server from the site I get error saying: "Server does not allow remote connections". Besides I can access the database using query analyser program with no problem. The error shows sporadically. Is there a hack happening or a technical problem , network problem , etc. Thanks in advance.

From my experience, (which is close to nothing) It's either your really being attacked, or someone using your server to download bit torrents or other P2P software.

you can check the ports of the IP which is connecting to you. If it is your web server port then most likely you are being attacked or wrong configuration (simultaneous connection amount set too less), otherwise you can check if someone turned on the bit torrent.

Hi,

how can add checkboxlist in dropdownlist to display the items in dropdownlist but as checkbox to allow user choose multiple choices from list as one time .
( source of this checkboxlist from database so is not static )

please, help me as quickly as possible beacuase I am searching too much but with no result .

Streamwriter on server

Hello,

I created a file using the streamwriter class on my local development machine and it creates the files. Once I move this code to the server where other users are going to this website, this class does not work. It does not create a file. This works on my local PC development area.

Any ideas??

My first guess is that it is a permissions thing. Remember that when you are running it on your local machine the streamwriter is using your username to resolve permissions. When you deploy it to the web server, it is the "IIS" process that is running the website/application, so that account would need proper permissions to write to a particular directory.

Check the error message carefully and I believe you will be getting something that says "... access denied ..."

I tried added in the ANONYMOUS LOGON user, that did not work.

For some reason, when I try to add the user ASPNET user for this particular folder, it does not show up.

I am using IIS 6 and the user that I had to grant access to is called, "IIS_WPG".

This solution did not work for me, I had to use the Response.AddHeader("Content-Disposition", "attachment;filename=file1.csv"), this let the user save the file to any location they wanted.

Hi,

If the checkbox is placed inside a Templatefield, then to bind it to a field in the database
The syntax is:-
checked = '<%# Eval("stcAccepted")%>'

But, if I place the checkbox is on a webform (not in a datagrid 0r dataview), how can I bind its checked property to a database field, so that if it is true in the database checkbox is fetched as checked. If false then should be fetched as unchecked. The field at the backend is of type (char(1), not null).

Please, point to me to a good resource on the web which explains it in detail.
What code should be written to achieve this. I am using C# and sql serer 2008.

Hello To All

I have a requirement where i need to export data in excel sheet to sqlserver through asp.net..

The requirement is application has to check sheet by sheet in excel workbook and has to export data in it to sqlserver.. If any blank sheet is there between sheets it has to skip that sheet and go for next sheet..

I have developed code for this task.. but the program is working successfully if data is present in all the sheets.. If data is not there in one sheet it is showing exception although it is uploading the data in the remaining sheets...

Tell me some logic about how to know whether the excel sheet is empty or not...
