Hi, I have several listboxes in my application and the border is standard set to 'inset'. Is there any way to get rid of the border and just have a flat border?
Thanks in advance.

Just set the "BorderStyle" property of your textbox to "Groove"
Hope this help you

No, it doesn't work. I've tryed all different types of borderstyles and not one works.
|
|
|
|

That depends on what browser is used. Some browsers allow you to change the border style, others doesn't. Firefox does. Internet Explorer doesn't.

b { font-weight: normal; }

weird, cause it doesn't seem to work in firefox either.
But thanks anyway

Yes, it does.
Example:
---
b { font-weight: normal; }

How can I show the data from database on screen without using datagrid? Is there any other way? I don't want to have all the datas from one record in the same row.

Datalist? Repeater? Just a bunch of textboxes. It really depends on what you want to show and how you want to show it... You can bind your data to just about anything.

You have different approches
1. Use of Sessions variables.
2. Query String (Get or Post).
3. Application Variables.
4. Caching
Take a dession with your tech lead, as per your application.

How can i get Session.SessionID() on this event
Sub Application_BeginRequest(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As EventArgs) in global asax.

If the session is created, you can access it through HttpContext.Current.Sesssion.
The BeginRequest event is the first event to be raised for a request. It's possible that the session is not identified or created at this stage.

b { font-weight: normal; }

Thanks for help.
i have tried to write code in BeginRequest event
Dim str2 = System.Web.HttpContext.Current.Session.SessionID()
then i got this message
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Is there any way to get sessionid in BeginRequest event .

As someone pointed out, the sessin may not be created. Alternately, you can check whether the session is created before trying to access it.
Try the Session_OnStart event instead if applicable.

number of hits on the site.
pl'z help me
|
|
|
|

Hi yuvraj
Well to count number of hits. What you can do is that you can increment a counter in global.asax's
protected void Session_Start(Object sender, EventArgs e)
{
i++;
}
this will give the number of hits on ur site
